Lucknow University will admit students to its 5-year integrated LLB and BBA LLB programmes solely through CLAT 2027 scores, starting in the 2027-28 academic year. The university has scrapped the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) for LLB courses. Meanwhile, the 3-year LLB and LLM admissions will continue through the university's own entrance exam.
Last year, the university followed a hybrid process, giving preference to CLAT 2026 and using UGET scores to fill vacant seats. This year, candidates seeking admission to either 5-year law course must appear in CLAT 2027 on December 06, 2026.
The decision comes after a formal agreement between the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) and Lucknow University.
Category | Minimum CLAT 2027 cutoff score |
General category | 60 marks |
Other Backward Classes (OBC) | 54 marks |
Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) | 54 marks |
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) | 54 marks |
Candidates meeting the above-mentioned minimum CLAT 2027 cutoff for their category will be considered for admission based on their merit and the number of available seats.
Lucknow University will release its BA LLB and BBA LLB application forms in the last week of December 2026. Registration forms will be available on the Samarth portal on its official website, lkouniv.samarth.edu.in. Candidates must complete two separate steps: register for CLAT 2027 and submit the university's application form when registrations open.
