For the 2026 academic cycle, admission to Delhi University (DU)'s 5-year integrated LLB program is governed by the All India Rank (AIR) obtained in the CLAT 2026 examination. Moving away from traditional merit-based systems, DU now utilises the national-level entrance conducted by the Consortium of NLUs to fill its limited intake of 120 seats. These seats are split equally between the BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programs.
Based on previous academic cycles, Delhi University typically releases the first seat allotment list for its 5-year BA LLB/BBA LLB program in mid-July via the CSAS-UG portal. Applications usually open in May or June, shortly after the CLAT results and class 12 board declarations. With the university's prestige and its location in the national capital, the cutoff marks are expected to remain high.

The CLAT 2026 scores vs All India Ranks (AIR) expected data suggest competition for Delhi University 5-year LLB programs. For the Unreserved (UR) category, achieving a score in the 87.50- 91.50 mark range places a student between AIR 465 and 1013. This small four-mark gap contains over 500 ranks, showing that every single mark can shift a student’s rank by hundreds of positions. To secure a seat in the DU first allotment list, General category students must maintain a score of 88 or higher, as candidates scoring below 87.50 face a sharp decline in rank, moving into the AIR 1000+ range.
In the OBC-NCL and EWS categories, the competition shifts toward the 78.50 to 84.00 score range. These candidates are competing within a rank bracket of AIR 1925 to 4272. This narrow 5.5-mark range contains over 2,300 ranks, meaning a single mark carries nearly 420 positions. To secure one of Delhi University's limited law seats, students should rank within the top 3,000, which is expected to be the accepted CLAT rank for these quotas in 2026.
Admission to DU for SC and ST categories shows a broader rank range for these law courses, allowing for successful admission even as scores move into the 60.00 to 75.00 range. For SC aspirants, the expected CLAT 2026 rank extends to AIR 9928, while ST candidates remain competitive up to AIR 19,212. While the ranks are lower, the scores must remain above 60 marks to stay competitive for DU 5-year LLB admissions.
The PwBD category shows the cutoff potentially dropping to 50 CLAT marks for the BBA LLB programme. This allows for admission even at an AIR of 28986 as per last year's CLAT statistics, provided the candidate meets the minimum eligibility criteria set by the University of Delhi.
