The University of Allahabad has officially notified its admission cycle for the 2026 academic session. For the 5-year Integrated BA LLB (Hons) program, admission is now exclusively through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026. Candidates must have completed their CUET UG registration through the National Testing Agency (NTA). The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the CUET UG 2026 registration on January 3, 2026. While the initial deadline was January 30, it was extended to February 4, 2026 (11:50 PM). To be eligible for Allahabad University, candidates must select a specific subject combination in their CUET form. These include Section IA: Language Test (English or Hindi is compulsory), Section II: Domain Subject, where candidates must select any one of the 23 listed subjects (such as Political Science, History, or Economics), and Section III: General Aptitude Test (compulsory). The exam follows a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. Each correct answer will award 5 marks and a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.

AU BA LLB 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification | Aspirants should have cleared their class 12 course of schooling recognised by the Academic Council of the University or possess such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to 10+2 or 11+1 courses by the Bar Council of India |
Minimum marks | Candidates belonging to the general category should have secured 45% marks, OBC candidates should have secured 42% marks and SC/ST candidates should have secured 40% marks in aggregate |

Steps to Complete CUET UG BA LLB 2026 Registration
Candidates must follow these steps on the official CUET Samarth portal:
- Visit the portal and click on "New Registration." Create a password and generate a System-generated Application Number.
- Login with the application number and password. Enter personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information.
- Select "University of Allahabad" and choose "BA LLB (Hons)" from the dropdown menu.
- Candidates must select the following to be eligible for AU: Section IA: Hindi or English. Section II: General Aptitude Test (Compulsory). Section III (domain): Select any ONE of the domain subjects.
- Upload scanned copies of the photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable) in the specified JPG/JPEG format.
- Pay the application fee online based on the category and the number of subjects chosen.
- Save the Confirmation Page for future reference during AU Counselling.

NTA prescribes the CUET BA LLB 2026 syllabus on its official website. Candidates are required to opt for Section I Language Test - (Hindi or English) and Section II General Aptitude Test. The legal studies subject has been removed.
