The final merit list of PU LLB 2019 will be released by different participating law institutes in the third week of August 2019. The university will publish a common provisional merit list mentioning the list of candidates selected for the counselling round.

The Panjab University will adopt the following mechanisms to break the tie between two candidates who score the same marks.
Firstly, candidates scoring higher marks will be ranked higher in the merit list of PU LLB 2019.
If the marks in the qualifying examination are same too, then candidates with higher marks in the immediate lower examination will be ranked higher.
If the tie is still present, then candidates senior in age will be ranked higher in the merit list.
The university will be publishing a preliminary/provisional merit list and a final merit list.
The provisional PU LLB 2019 merit list will be released before the counselling round.
After the candidates attend the counselling round, different participating law institutes participating under the Panjab University will be releasing their own final merit lists.
These merit lists will mention the names of candidates who have secured a seat in the university for the programme.
The provisional merit list of PU LLB 2019 will be subject to revision due to improvement in candidate’s result of the qualifying examination.
However, the candidate should be able to furnish the new result at the time when the university will work on its waiting list.

The minimum percentage required for LLB course after graduation is mostly 50% for the general category. For example if I talk about DU LLB then , General category candidates need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam or an equivalent grade to be eligible for admission. In case of reserved category candidates there is relaxation in minimum marks, as elucidated below:-
For candidates belonging to SC and ST, the minimum aggregate marks has been fixed at 40%, whereas OBC, PwD and CW candidates need at least 45% marks in aggregate.
