About IILET 2026

The Indore Institute of Law conducts the IILET 2026 exam in both online and offline modes across 41 cities in India. The IILET 2026 Round 1 exam was conducted on November 26, 2025, with results declared on December 26, 2025. Candidates who were not shortlisted or placed on the waiting list for Round 1 can register for the IILET 2026 Round 2 exam, which is scheduled to be conducted on January 26, 2026. The Indore Institute of Law (IIL) remains a CLAT-affiliated institute, and the CLAT 2026 exam (conducted in December 2025) is also used for admissions. The institute offers BBA LLB (Hons.) with Global & Transnational Studies, BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), and LLB (Hons.) programmes on the basis of IILET and CLAT. IIL also offers direct admissions on the basis of a 12th percentage.


IILET 2026 is a 2-hour-long test conducted in online and offline formats. The paper consists of 150 MCQs covering five major topics: English language, current affairs, including general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative techniques (elementary mathematics). As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must score at least 45% (40% for SC/ST categories) in the 10+2 level for admission to standard law programmes. A 60% aggregate is required for the Global & Transnational Studies programme. Shortlisted candidates must participate in the Admission Counselling Process to secure their seats.

Candidates who want to take admission in IIL for the 2026-27 academic year will need to fill the admissions application form of the IILET 2026 in online mode. Admissions to the institute will be offered on the basis of merit. The seats offered by the university will be filled in the following order.
  • 70% seats will be filled based on IILET 2026
  • 20% seats will be filled on the basis of the entrance test CLAT 2026.
  • 10% seats will be offered directly on the basis of Class 12th percentage.

IILET Important Dates

IILET Indore Institute of Law Entrance Test (session 2026)

The application window for IILET 2026 round 1 is now closed, and the round 1 shortlisted candidates were declared on December 26, 2025. Candidates who missed the initial deadline or did not qualify in the first round can now apply for IILET 2026 round 2, which is scheduled to be conducted on January 26, 2026. In order to fill out the IILET application form 2026, candidates are required to provide their personal information such as name, father's name, mother's name, category, occupation, contact information, educational qualification and other details. Candidates will also have to upload a recent passport-size photo in the prescribed format.

The IILET 2026 application fee has been updated for different programmes. For BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.), the application fee is INR 2,000. Candidates applying for the specialised BBA LLB (Hons.) with Global and Transnational Studies are required to pay a fee of INR 3,000. For postgraduate and other programmes like LLB (Hons.) and LLM, the application fee is INR 900. All payments must be made through the online payment gateway using a debit card, credit card, or net banking facility.

Candidates who want to apply for admission to the Indore Institute of Law must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the institute. The eligibility criteria for IILET 2026 are mentioned below.

Educational Qualification- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.

In the qualifying exam (Class 12th), the candidate must score at least 45% marks. SC and ST category candidates must score at least 40% marks.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam/awaiting their results are also eligible for IILET 2026. However, such candidates, if selected, will have to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

Age Bar - There is no age limit for candidates to apply for IILET 2026.

                The admit cards for both rounds are issued through the official Indore Institute of Law website. Candidates appearing for round 2 must download their hall tickets by logging into their registered accounts before the January 26 exam date. The IILET 2026 admit card contains critical details such as the exam centre, city, exam timings, roll number, and specific candidate instructions. It is mandatory for candidates to carry a printed copy of the IILET 2026 admit card to the exam centre for the verification process. This hall ticket must be presented alongside a valid government-issued photo ID.

                The Indore Institute of Law (IIL) will declare the results of IILET in online mode. Candidates can check their qualifying status by entering their login details on the official website. Candidates qualifying for IILET 2026 are eligible to appear in the Personal Interview (PI) round.
