The release of the CLAT UG 2026 3rd Admission List, initially set for February 5, 2026, has been postponed following a judgment by the Allahabad High Court. The Consortium of NLUs will announce a new counselling schedule after the outcome of their Special Appeal against the High Court's decision. The Consortium of National Law Universities published the CLAT 2026 second merit list on its official website on January 22, 2026. The CLAT 2026 first merit list was released on January 7, 2026. The CLAT 2026 exam was conducted on December 7, 2025. According to students, the exam was easy to moderate, but slightly lengthy. The only thing candidates are concerned about right now is whether they will be able to clear the CLAT 2026 cutoffs. Additionally, the CLAT provisional answer was released on December 10, 2025. The answer key will help candidates calculate their estimated CLAT score and cut-off. The CLAT cutoff 2026 for top 3 NLUs for the first round of CLAT 2026 counselling is between 101 to 284 rank. As has been the trend, top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad and WBNUJS Kolkata have CLAT 2026 cutoffs less than 300 ranks or 95+ marks.
Meanwhile, the CLAT 2026 cutoff for tier 2 NLUs is expected to be under 2000 ranks or roughly 85+ marks. The CLAT 2026 cutoff for all categories will be released along with the merit lists. The consortium released the CLAT 2026 second merit list on January 22, 2026. They published the CLAT 2026 first merit list has been released on its official website on January 7, 2026. The CLAT cutoff 2026 for all NLUs will be released along with the allotment lists. The CLAT result 2026 was declared on December 16, 2025. The Consortium of NLUs has started the CLAT counselling registration.
