The Consortium of National Law Universities has notified that it has accepted the Delhi HC verdict in the CLAT UG cases. It will publish the CLAT 2025 revised result soon. Candidates can see a major change in their final CLAT 2025 score due to the revised result. In this article, get a detailed breakdown of how marks in CLAT 2025 are changing after HC judgement.
The Consortium is expected to notify the CLAT 2025 counselling schedule soon for admissions into 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of participating NLUs. The CLAT 2025 merit list will be prepared based on the revised result.
A candidate will gain a maximum of 4 marks and lose a maximum of 2.25 marks on account of the revised result. The HC has ordered revision in the answers to 4 questions. A change of 2-4 marks either way will result in a drastic shift in the candidate’s rank in the merit list.
The CLAT marks vs rank analysis shows that even a difference of 1-2 marks can cause a shift of 1000 ranks. Candidates therefore have to keep track of these changes and get a realistic assessment of their NLU chances as per their rank.
The Delhi HC has accepted objections to 4 questions and revised the answers. Due to the revision of the CLAT 2025 answer key for these four questions, candidate’s marks will change based on which answers they marked. The table given below provides the detailed breakdown of how marks will change for each of the four questions in the CLAT 2025 revised result.
