Candidates seeking seats in top NLUs through CLAT 2026 can only participate in the admission by registering for the counselling process. During the CLAT 2026 counselling process, the consortium will release the cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks. The Consortium of NLUs will not release the CLAT 2026 cutoff in the form of marks. However, candidates can get an idea about how many marks to score for admission to top NLUs. A score of 90+ is most likely to get candidates a rank under 500 and admission to top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLIU Bhopal, NLU Jodhpur etc. A CLAT 2026 score around 85 is very likely to get candidates a rank under 2000, which also opens doors for many tier 2 NLUs. If general category candidates want a sure shot at any of the 26 participating NLUs, they must mandatorily score above 80 marks. The Consortium of NLUs does not release any official marks vs rank figures. During the counselling rounds too, the consortium only publishes the ranks of candidates selected for admission.
