The Allahabad High Court recently ordered the Consortium of NLUs to revise the CLAT 2026 merit list. The decision came in a petition filed by Avneesh Gupta, alleging the Consortium of NLUs had not considered his objections in the final answer key. The Allahabad High Court had upheld the objections of the petitioner. The single-judge ordered that Question no 9 of Set C of the CLAT 2026 UG question paper should have both option B and D as correct answers. Accordingly, the students who chose option B should also be awarded +1.25 marks. The court has also ordered the Consortium to publish a revised CLAT 2026 merit list based on this. It means the CLAT 2026 revised merit list will see a shuffle in ranks. In this article, we discuss what an increase of 1.25 marks means for the CLAT 2026 rankholders.
