AIL LET 2026 Exam: Registration (Out), Exam Date, Syllabus & Pattern

The Army Institute of Law will declare the AIL LET 2026 result tentatively in June 2026. Candidates can download the result of AIL LET 2026 online from their registered account. The AIL LET 2026 result will contain details such as marks obtained by the candidate, all India rank, category rank, roll number and candidate details.

Candidates must ensure they meet the AIL LET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Educational Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: The candidates must have cleared 10+2 exam from Punjab School Education Board or an equivalent exam recognised by Punjabi University, Patiala.

• Minimum Marks in qualifying exam: Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam should be 45%. 

• Open University: Candidates who have completed 10+2 through the Open University system directly without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible to apply.

• Compartment papers: Candidates who have passed 10+2 in compartments are not eligible for admission.

Provisional application: Applicants appearing in the qualifying exam in March/ April can take the AIL LET 2026. However, such candidates need to produce their qualifying certificate with the minimum prescribed marks at the time of admission.

Age limit

There is no age limit for appearing in the AIL LET 2026 exam or pursuing BA LLB or LLM programmes from the institute.

The Army Institute of Law will open the AIL LET 2026 application form tentatively in the third week of March 2026. The AIL LET application correction window will tentatively open in May 2026. Candidates can make corrections to the application form through their login credentials. To complete the application process, candidates must complete the application fee payment of Rs 3,300. The institute will conduct the AIL LET 2026 exam tentatively in May 2026. The deadline to submit the AIL LET application form along with the fee of Rs 3300 for Indian Army (IA), Indian Navy (IN), Indian Air Force (IAF) and All India General Category will be informed. Candidates must ensure to fill out the form accurately and completely. Any omission or error can lead to rejection of the application form.

How to Fill AIL LET 2026 Application Form?

• Visit the official website and click on the official application link.

• Obtain login credentials by registering for the exam using basic details such as name, phone number, date of birth, email id, and other details. Upon successful registration, a registration number will be created.

• Log in to the newly created account to continue the application form-filling process. There will be sections like academic, personal and contact details, which have to be duly filled. 

• Upload photograph, signature, and other mandatory documents. Note that the size of documents to be uploaded must be – passport-size photos (<120 Kb), army category certificates (<1.5 MB), documents (<1.5 MB)

• Pay the stipulated application fee. .

Important things to carry on AIL LET 2026 exam day 

Candidates appearing in AIL LET 2026 should carry the following items while going to the examination hall.

1. A hard copy of AIL LET 2026 admit card
2. A valid photo identity card 
3. A blue/black ballpoint pen

The institute will notify the AIL LET counselling schedule 2026. The final course-wise merit list for AIL LET is expected to be published in June 2026. The institute will conduct the counselling of AIL LET 2026 in online mode. Only those candidates who qualify for the AIL LET 2026 exam and are included in the merit list will be invited for the counselling. The AIL LET counselling preference window to choose the BA LLB or BCom LLB programme is expected to be open in June 2026. AIL LET Counselling process: Document submission, verification and admission 

The institute shortlists candidates based on their marks and rank in the merit list. Such candidates must submit the documents and certificates mentioned above to the institute. 

The counselling officials will verify the details submitted by the candidates during the application process by referring to the original documents. 

• If the candidates fulfil the eligibility and satisfy all conditions for admission, the institute will approve the admission. 
• To complete the admission process, such candidates will have to submit the course fee as prescribed by the institute.
