    The High Court of Andhra Pradesh specified the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Services Exam 2026 syllabus in the official notification. The authorities conduct a screening test of 100 multiple-choice questions to shortlist candidates for the written examination. The scores from the screening test are used to shortlist candidates for the written test and are not added to the final marks. The AP judiciary written exam syllabus consists of three papers carrying 100 marks each. Candidates who qualify the written examination will be eligible for the viva voce. Selected candidates will be designated as Trainee Judicial Officers and are required to undergo one year of intensive training at the Judicial Academy.

    Minimum Marks Required in AP Judiciary Exam 2026

    Candidates are required to score at least 40% of the total marks in the AP Judiciary screening test. Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio of the total number of vacancies. Minimum marks required in the written exam differ for each category of candidates.

    • Open/EWS: minimum 55% of marks in Paper I & II; minimum 60% aggregate marks in mains

    • Backward Class: minimum 50% in Paper I & II; minimum 55% aggregate marks in mains

    • SC, ST & Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: minimum 45% in Paper I & II; minimum 50% aggregate marks in mains

    Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in both parts of the English paper. Note that the marks secured in the English paper are not counted towards the final marks. Only the marks secured in Paper-I and Paper-II and Viva Voce are considered for final selection.
