Army Institute of Law, Mohali has published a notification on the commencement of the B.Com LLB 5-year degree course. The institute has notified that it will offer a B.Com LLB 5-year degree course from the academic session 2025-26. AIL Mohali already offer 5-year LLB and 1-year LLM programmes. It must be noted that the seats of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and All India categories will be filled through AIL LET exam. The seats of the Punjab category will be filled by GNDU Amritsar through centralised counselling. In its notification, the institute has said it will introduce a new B.Com LLB programme from 2025-26 onwards. However, has got approval from statutory bodies.

Candidates must note that the seats of the Indian Army, Indian Navy (IN), Indian Air Force (IAF) and All India Category will be filled through the AIL LET exam.
Seats of the Punjab Category will be filled by GNDU, Amritsar, through centralised counselling.
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria to appear for the AIL LET exam. Those who are not eligible for admission to the BA LLB programme at the institute will not be considered for admission even if they pass the exam. Candidates can check out the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
Passed 10+2 exam from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognised as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, securing at least 45% marks. Candidates who have obtained 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in law courses.
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination are allowed to take the AIL LET provisionally, subject to the condition that their candidature will stand cancelled in case they do not pass the final exams with the required percentage of marks.
In case an applicant has passed a qualifying exam from the Board/University whose degree has not been notified as equivalent to the Punjabi University, Patiala, he/she will have to produce the eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of interview, failing which his / her candidature shall not be considered.

The merit list for AILET Mohali 2024 (assuming it refers to admissions for the academic year 2024-2025) isn't likely available yet.
The cutoff for the Army Institute of Law for candidates from an Army background is between 65 to 70 marks, while for civilian candidates it ranges from 130 to 135 marks The AIL LET 2024 exam was conducted on June 9, 2024 in a computer-based online mode at allotted test centres for admission to BA LLB course offered by All Mohall. The AIL LET 2024 registration without a late fee was open till May 8, 2024. Around 3000-4000 students appear for the entrance test. Out of the total number of seats Le 80, 60 are reserved for defence background, 16 for those having Punjab domicile and 4 for the civil category. Around 3000-3500 sit for those 60 seats and 300-400 for those 4 seats!
