The Common Law Admission Test is the biggest law entrance exam in India. Every year, thousands of students appear for the Common Law Admission Test for admission to 25 national law universities (NLUs). Apart from the NLUs, many private and government institutes also accept scores of CLAT exams for admissions. DU 5-year LLB admissions are also done through CLAT exam scores. In CLAT 2025, a total of 78,914 students registered for the exam (CLAT UG and PG) and a total of 75,361 students appeared. Talking of CLAT 2024, a total of 54,808 candidates registered for the CLAT UG, of which 53,180 appeared.
