The salary of the Supreme Court and High Court judges is determined by the Parliament of India under the Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1958, and the High Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1954.     Candidates who appear for the state judicial services exam such as Rajasthan Judicial Services (RJS), Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services (UPPCS-J), etc., are recruited for the Civil Judge’s position at the respective district courts.     The basic salary of the Chief Justice of the High Court in India is Rs 2,50,000. The salary of a Chief Justice in the Supreme Court is Rs 2,80,000. The Judges are assigned official bungalows in a prime location in Delhi. The list of some of the benefits includes:
