The Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) 2026 is the entrance exam for admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB courses across approximately 60 law colleges in Telangana. TS LAWCET is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). The TS LAWCET 2026 application form is expected to begin in the first week of March 2026.
For the 2026 academic session, the entrance test is officially scheduled for May 18, 2026, in the computer-based test (CBT) format. Candidates are tested on general knowledge, mental ability, current affairs, and law aptitude. With 120 objective questions and no negative marking, the competition remains high, particularly for top-tier institutions like the University College of Law, Osmania University.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, BCom, or equivalent) from a recognised university.
The minimum marks required are 45% for the general category, 42% for OBC candidates, and 40% for SC/ST categories.
For a 5-year integrated LLB course:
Applicants must have passed the class 10+2 or an equivalent examination.

There is no upper age limit for appearing in the TS LAWCET exam.
Candidates need the following documents and information ready before starting the application process:
Mark sheets and passing certificates for 10th, 12th, and bachelor's degree (if applicable for the 3-year LLB course).
A valid photo ID proof, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport.
Valid email address and active mobile number.
Caste/category certificate: If applicable (for SC, ST, BC, PH candidates).
A recent passport-size photograph (size < 50 KB) and signature (size < 30KB).
Credit card, debit card, or net banking details for online fee payment.

If you want to join Osmania University for the 5-year law course after 12th through TS LAWCET,under the BC-D category a good score would be in the range of 80-90 out of 120 .though you could get admission with around 70-75 but 80+ is safer
