TS LAWCET Notification 2026 (OUT): Counselling Notification (Released), Complete Schedule
The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has published the detailed TS LAWCET 2026 counselling notification. The TS LAWCET 2026 counselling registration will begin on July 5, 2026. Earlier, TGCHE released the detailed TG LAWCET 2026 notification on February 8, 2026. Osmania University conducted the TG LAWCET 2026 exam on May 18, 2026. The application window opened on February 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The last date to apply for the TG LAWCET 2026 exam without paying the late fee was April 1, 2026. Through the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test, candidates will be admitted into participating law colleges in Telangana. Candidates planning to pursue a 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB course from law colleges in Telangana were required to appear in TS LAWCET 2026. TS LAWCET 2026 Notification: Eligibility
The TGHE specifies the eligibility criteria for both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB programmes. Candidates applying for the 5-year LLB programme through the TS LAWCET exam must have passed class 12th or an equivalent from a recognised board. The General category students should have scored 45%, the OBC category 42%, and candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need to score a minimum of 40%. Whereas, candidates applying for the TS LAWCET 3-year LLB must have graduated in any stream in the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university
TS LAWCET 2026 Notification: Selection Process
TS LAWCET 2026 official notification was released on February 8, 2026. The eligible candidates can apply for the exam by filling out the TS LAWCET application form 2026 on February 10, 2026. After filling out the application form, candidates got the TS LAWCET admit card 2026, which includes details related to the examination and needs to be carried out at the exam centre.
The TS LAWCET 2026 exam pattern includes 120 multiple-choice type questions from subjects - legal reasoning, fundamental rights, important judgments, etc. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There is no negative marking for wrong answers and each correct answer results in one mark.
After the completion of exams, the results are declared by TGCHE followed by shortlisting of candidates based on the marks obtained. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend the TS LAWCET counselling which involves document verification, choice-filling, and seat allotment. Finally, the candidates will need to report to the allotted colleges within the prescribed time.
