About VLAT 2025

Vinayaka Missions Law School (VMRF) opened the VLAT 2025 application form window on November 26, 2024. Eligible candidates can register and fill out the application form online on the official website for registrations - vmls.edu.in/admissions. Through the VLSAT scores 2025, candidates can get admission into the 5-year integrated LLB and 3-year LLB programmes. The VLAT application fee is Rs. 773 for all candidates. At present VMLS is being mentored by O.P. Jindal Global University (an Institution of Eminence) and Jindal Global Law School under an institutional mentorship agreement.

What is VLAT (VMRF Law Aptitude Test) 2025

VMRF Law Aptitude Test, VLAT 2025 is an online AI proctored entrance exam conducted by the Vinayaka Mission Law School in multiple slots. Through the VLAT examination, candidates get admission to BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB and a 3-year LLB programme. The entrance test is designed to test the reading and comprehension skills, reasoning and critical thinking ability of the students. These skills are considered essential for the study of law. For a 5-year LLB course, the university conducts VLAT 5, whereas, VLAT 3 is conducted for admission to 3-year LLB programmes. Alternatively, candidates can also use the scores of CLAT, AILET, MH CET Law, or NLSAT to get admission to law programmes at VMLS.

VLAT Exam Pattern 2025

The exam pattern of VLAT 2025 follows the same structure for 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB programmes. The VLAT exam duration is 60 minutes and candidates are required to attempt 40 MCQ-based questions. The VLAT syllabus 2025 consists of two different sections on English comprehension and logical reasoning. Each question will carry one mark and there is no provision for negative marking in case of a wrong answer. However, candidates must attempt all the questions.

VLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF) offers 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB integrated LLB courses through VLAT 2025. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of VLAT 2025 for both programmes before filling out the application form. The course-wise eligibility criteria are given below.

Five-year integrated law programme eligibility:

Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized institute. (Candidates appearing for April-May 2024 Examinations can also apply.)
General category candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam, 42% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST.

VLAT 3-year LLB eligibility

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.
Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply
Candidates must have secured at least 45% aggregate marks in graduation. 42% in the case of OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ST.

VLAT 2025 Application Process

The VLAT application form 2025 is currently open since November 26, 2024. Eligible candidates can submit the VLAT 2025 application online on the official website. The exam authorities have notified a separate VLAT 2025 application window for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. The application fee for VLAT is Rs 733 for all candidates.

VLAT 2025 Exam Pattern

VLAT 2024 will be held online AI Proctored mode. There will be multiple-choice type questions in VLAT 2025. The test duration will be 60 minutes and the medium of language will be bilingual including both English and Tamil language. The VLAT 2025 will have logical reasoning and English comprehension sections.

VLAT 2025 Result

VLAT result 2024 will be announced soon after the exam. Candidates will be able to check the VLAT scorecard online from their registered account. The university may also send emails to the candidates informing them about the declaration of results.

Successful candidates will be invited for further admission process that involves releasing the provisional admission letter and counselling. Meanwhile, the university also accepts valid scores of CLAT, AILET, MH CET Law, and NLSAT for admission to the law programmes.
