• Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent from a board recognised by the University of Calcutta

• General category candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the best four subjects. (excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE). SC/ST category candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the best four subjects. (excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE).

• Candidates from boards other than WBCHSE, ISC, CBSE, Rabindra Mukto Vidyalaya and NIOS must obtain “Equivalence Certificate” from the office of the Registrar (Equivalence Section) University of Calcutta, 87/1, College Street, Kolkata-700073 by a written application in plain paper with a relevant photocopy of a 10+2 Mark Sheet. Certificate will be required at the time of admission.

• No age limit is prescribed.

• Click on the "Click here to apply" button and next click on the "new applicant" link.
• Candidates will be directed to the registration form, where they must fill in all required details like name, password, mobile number, etc.
• Next, candidates must log in to the candidate portal using their mobile number and password.
• Fill in the detailed application form with the required personal, academic, and communication information.
• Candidates will also be required to pay the registration fee in their preferred mode of online payment.
• Click on "final submission" and take a copy of the application confirmation page for future reference.
