The Bar Council of India has notified the AIBE next exam date on September 26, 2025. The AIBE 20 exam date 2025 was announced on the official website - allindiabarexamination.com through the AIBE 20 notification 2025. The AIBE 20 exam date is November 30, 2025. After announcing the next AIBE exam date, BCI has opened the AIBE 20 application form on September 29, 2025. Candidates could apply online from the official website till the AIBE exam 2025 registration last date, i.e October 31, 2025. Read ahead to know the important dates for the next AIBE exam, and the dates of previous AIBE sessions.
The AIBE exam date usually comes once a year. However, on some occasions, the AIBE exam has also been conducted two times a year. The Bar Council of India will conduct the AIBE 20 in offline mode at test centres across the country. Candidates who clear the All India Bar Examination will be awarded a Certificate of Practice (CoP). Such candidates will be able to practise law in India. All candidates who have obtained their law degree from 2009-10 onwards are required to appear in the AIBE to become an advocate and defend clients in court.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a slight change in the AIBE exam dates, as can be seen in the table below. But in 2024, the AIBE exam was conducted once.

The AIBE 20 registration 2025 was closed on October 31, 2025. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria could apply online from BCI’s official website. The AIBE 20 application process 2025 started on September 29, 2025. Earlier, the AIBE 20 registration dates were notified in the AIBE 20 notification. BCI prescribes the AIBE eligibility criteria on its official website. Candidates who have completed their 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB are eligible to appear in the exam. There is no age limit or minimum passing marks required in the LLB degree to appear for AIBE. It must also be noted that AIBE is a post-enrolment exam. So, candidates aspiring to appear for AIBE must enrol with a State Bar Council before submitting the AIBE application form. Candidates who clear the AIBE cut off and qualify in the exam will be able to collect their Certificate of Practice from the State Bar Council in which they enrolled.

The AIBE(All India Bar Examination) is conducted only for law graduate students to get a certificate for Practice to practice law in court in India. This exam is conducted in offline mode, including 100 multiple-choice questions and has no negative marking. Students need to score at least 45 out of 100 questions and 40 for SC/ST candidates.
The registration for this exam has officially closed for the 2025 exam session.
