Candiates are required to complete the training duration of 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. They will be on a probation period of six months. Candiates are not permitted to live with their parents or get married during the training period.

Shortlisting: The Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army) will shortlist candidates based on their CLAT PG 2026 scores. All applicants for SSC (JAG) entry, both men and women, must register and take the CLAT (PG) exam from the previous year. Only eligible shortlisted candidates will participate in SSB interviews at selection centres in Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka), or Kapurthala (Punjab).
SSB Centre & Date: Shortlisted candidates must select their SSB centre and date online on a first-come, first-served basis. The selected centre/date cannot be changed.
SSB Interview: Eligible shortlisted candidates will appear for a five-day, two-stage SSB interview at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar. A call-up letter for the SSB interview will be sent via email and SMS to the candidate’s registered contact details by the respective selection centre. Candidates will undergo a two-stage selection process.
Joining: A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate at the SSB interview. Those included in the merit list and who come within the stipulated vacancies and are medically fit will be issued joining letters for Pre-Commissioning training at OTA, Chennai, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
