TNDALU Counselling 2020 - The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University will conduct the counselling of TNDALU 2020 separately for 5-year integrated law, 3-year law, and LLM programs. TNDALU 2020 counselling for 5-year program will commence sometime in 3rd week of June, while for 3-year LLB course the counselling will be held tentatively from 3rd week of August onward. TNDALU counselling will be conducted in multiple rounds, and for each round a counselling cutoff would be released. Only such TNDALU applicants who meet the cutoff criteria for that round will be issued call letters and eligible for participating in counselling sessions. In such cases where the candidate meets the cutoff criteria but haven’t received the call letter, they are required to attend the TNDALU counselling session. The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University will conduct TNDALU 2020 counselling in offline mode; eligible candidates have to report for counselling in person on the assigned date and time with originals and photocopies of relevant documents, including call letters. Eligible candidates will be sent counselling call letters by Speed Post. Any candidate who meet the cutoff threshold but hasn’t received counselling call letters also need to attend the TNDALU counselling session on the scheduled day and time.

To be eligible for TNDALU counselling 2020, the candidate has to meet the cutoff criteria for their respective categories and the college they are applying for. Also note that for each round of counselling, category-wise TNDALU cutoff will be released for various courses.
At the counselling venue, the applicant has to undergo a mandatory document verification process. Admission officials will check all essential documents and also refer them with the information furnished by the candidate at the time of filling out the application form. Only if the candidate successfully completes the verification process would they be considered for the next round, which is seat allotment round.
TNDALU admission 2020 to law courses offered by participating institutes will be done based on merit of qualifying exam; no separate entrance exam will be conducted. Selection process for various courses is explained below:
Admission to 3-year LLB program will be based on:
% of marks obtained in the qualifying (undergraduate exam) considering the aggregate of all subjects, excluding languages
If however the language itself is the subject, then the percentage obtained in the said examination will be considered.
Admission to 5-year integrated law program:
% of marks obtained in 10+2 or any equivalent exam, in aggregate of all subjects, excluding languages.
Further, marks obtained in first attempt only will be considered for ranking purpose.

The seat allotment of TNDALU 2020 will be as per the reservation criteria set by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Only natives from the state of Tamil Nadu will be considered for communal reservation. Other state candidates will be considered for admission under Open Category. Also, to be considered for reservation (or communal reservation), eligible candidates need to submit certificates of their social status issued by the competent authority.

Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University has seven affiliated colleges under it. The colleges have graduate, integrates, post-graduate and PhD. level law courses. Distance learning is also available as well as PG Diploma, Masters in Corporate Laws and certificate course in documentation. The university also runs a five year integrated course in LL.B. (Hons.). with BA, BBA, BCA and B.Com which has 548 seats in total.
The admission begins every year in June. CLAT is exclusive to the participating colleges. Though some other private and government colleges accept the score, TNDALU's admission is based on their own qualification exam. For PhD., there is an interview as well. The college thing varies from the requirement of the course and whether it is part-time of full-time. It is generally open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Eligibility criteria: For admission in undergraduate course, the minimum marks required in the qualifying exam is 55% for SC/ ST/ NRI candidates and 60% for general candidates. For admission in integrated courses, the minimum marks in the qualifying exam required is 60% for SC/ ST candidates and 70% for general candidates.

If you are seriously willing to pursue law not just as a course of study but a career in future, consider doing law program as a full-time course, BCI has not yet approved full time Law Programs in India, most of the university offers certificate and diploma courses only in distance education.
