TNDALU Admission 2020 - Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University will conduct TNDALU 2020 admission for admitting candidates to law courses offered by participating institutes: 1) affiliated law colleges, and 2) School of Excellence in Law. The affiliated law colleges offer 5-year integrated BA LLB (intake capacity - 1411 seats) and 3-year LLB (1541 seats). Meanwhile, the School of Excellence in Law offers four 5-year integrated courses (combined intake 624 seats) and LLM programs with 9 specialisation, each offering 20 seats. The admission authority will release the application form of TNDALU 2020 separately for the three programs - BA LLB, LLB, and LLM program. Applications for the 5-year integrated program will open tentatively in the 3rd week of May, and for the 3-year program around the 4th week of June. Applications for LLM program is expected sometime in the 4th week of July.
The TNDALU application form will be available in both online and offline modes. Aspirants will be able to obtain printed applications by post on payment of the prescribed fee; alternately, printed applications can also be obtained in person from the registrar's office or from respective Principals and Saraswathy Law College (Private).
The online application process would include registration, filling of academic, personal and academic data, uploading of documents, and payment of fees. One must take care to submit completed TNDALU 2020 application form before the last date, as otherwise applications won’t be considered.

The candidate by consulting the cutoff of TNDALU 2020 will get to know what score they need to get in their chosen program to be in with a chance for admission. The TNDALU cutoff 2020 will be released separately for affiliated law colleges and School of Excellence in Law. Also, the TNDALU 2020 cut off would be determined category-wise for all the counselling rounds. Such candidates who meet the TNDALU cut off 2020 will be issued counselling call letters; such candidates will have to attend the counselling session in person with the call letters.
Admission authority will prepare the merit list of TNDALU 2020 using marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam. The TNDALU merit list 2020 will be determined category-wise for both affiliated law colleges and School of Excellence in Law. To check their merit status, the candidate will have to consult the relevant cutoff lists.
Such candidates whose numbers are within the cutoff marks will be sent counselling call letters by speed post. In case any candidate who meets the cutoff criteria but doesn't receive the call letter, he/she can still attend the counselling session on the scheduled day.
The seat allotment of TNDALU 2020 will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and options opted for admission.
The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University will conduct the counselling of TNDALU 2020 in offline mode. So, all candidates who meet the cutoff criteria need to report for counselling on the designated with originals of all relevant documents and also the call letter sent by the admission authority. If the candidate hasn’t received the call letter yet despite meeting the cutoff threshold, he/she should attend the counselling as well.
The TNDALU 2020 counselling will be conducted separately for those seeking admission to affiliated law colleges and those seeking admission to School of Excellence in Law. Note that the affiliated colleges offers only 5-year integrated BA LLB and 3-year LLB courses, and counselling will be conducted for these two programs only. For the integrated course, there are likely to be around 5 rounds of counselling, while the 3-year LLB course will have 3 rounds of counselling.
Meanwhile, counselling for admission to School of Excellence in Law offers a host of 5-year integrated law courses and also 3-year LLB program. The counselling process for these programs will be the same as those conducted for affiliated law colleges.
TNDALU admission 2020 will be based on marks of respective qualifying exams mentioned in the eligibility criteria prescribed for a program. No separate entrance exam will be conducted.
Only such candidates whose marks are equal to or higher than the cutoff marks are eligible to participate in offline counselling of TNDALU 2020.

Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University has seven affiliated colleges under it. The colleges have graduate, integrates, post-graduate and PhD. level law courses. Distance learning is also available as well as PG Diploma, Masters in Corporate Laws and certificate course in documentation. The university also runs a five year integrated course in LL.B. (Hons.). with BA, BBA, BCA and B.Com which has 548 seats in total.
The admission begins every year in June. CLAT is exclusive to the participating colleges. Though some other private and government colleges accept the score, TNDALU's admission is based on their own qualification exam. For PhD., there is an interview as well. The college thing varies from the requirement of the course and whether it is part-time of full-time. It is generally open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Eligibility criteria: For admission in undergraduate course, the minimum marks required in the qualifying exam is 55% for SC/ ST/ NRI candidates and 60% for general candidates. For admission in integrated courses, the minimum marks in the qualifying exam required is 60% for SC/ ST candidates and 70% for general candidates.

If you are seriously willing to pursue law not just as a course of study but a career in future, consider doing law program as a full-time course, BCI has not yet approved full time Law Programs in India, most of the university offers certificate and diploma courses only in distance education.
