Bar Council of India has declared the AIBE 18 result 2023 in online mode on March 26, 2024. BCI has also released an official notification on its official website stating that online Certificate of Practice (COP) does not hold any validity and they are meant for the sole purpose of correction in particulars. The AIBE final answer key 2023 will also be released soon. Careers360 got in touch with AIBE officials and it was confirmed that the result will be declared in the coming 10-15 days. Earlier, BCI released the AIBE 18 provisional answer key on December 12, 2023 on its official website - allindiabarexamination.com.
BCI conducted the AIBE 18 on December 10, 2023, in offline mode. The All India Bar Examination was conducted in offline mode at designated centres across the country. Meanwhile, BCI has also made AIBE 17 Certificate of Practice available from download through its official app. From this year, BCI has also increased the AIBE cutoff from 40% to 45% for general category candidates.
Law graduates who have enrolled at any state bar council and have not cleared the Bar exam yet can appear for the exam. The All India Bar Examination tests the basic legal knowledge and aptitude of law graduates. The AIBE syllabus 2023-24 will have questions from various legal principles, concepts of law and jurisprudence.

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a certification exam conducted twice a year by the Bar Council of India (BCI). AIBE exam sets the standard for law graduates looking to practice law in India. Those who clear the AIBE exam are awarded Certificate of Practice (CoP), making them eligible for practising law in India. It has ceased to be open book exam since AIBE XVI 2021. However, candidates can carry Bare Acts without notes.
The Bar Council of India had postponed the AIBE exam several times. Earlier the exam was scheduled to take place on December 3 2023. However, the AIBE 18 exam date has now been postponed to December 10, 2023. The last date to apply for the exam was November 16, 2023, and application fee could be paid until November 17, 2023
The Bar Council of India released an official notification on the official website regarding the validity of online COPs. BCI stated that the online COPs issued from the All India Bar Examination app do not hold any validity as they are uploaded as drafts for correction purposes. These AIBE COPs are not downloadable and printable. Furthermore, the notification states that these online COPs are uploaded on the app so that candidates can view their details and apply for correction in particulars such as names, father's name,
and enrollment number and for crosschecking particulars from State Bar Councils.
The Bar Council of India released an official notification on allindiabarexamination.com inviting suggestions and inquiries related to AIBE 18 and 17 exams. Candidates can submit their grievances at aibe.smartexams.in. The process to submit grievances has been described below:

The Bar Council of India (BCI) prescribes the AIBE 2023 eligibility criteria for candidates looking to appear for the examination. The AIBE XVIII (18) eligibility criteria are as follows.
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has closed the AIBE XVIII (18) 2023-24 application window on November 16, 2023. The application form for AIBE XVIII (18) 2023-24 was available in online mode, on the official website of the council - allindiabarexamination.com. Eligible candidates could register and fill out the application form of AIBE XVIII (18) 2023-24. The AIBE XVIII (18) 2023-24 registration fee was Rs. 3000 for all candidates.
BCI had opened the registration window for Rajkot centre candidates whose AIBE 17 results were cancelled. Such candidates could login to the AIBE portal using their existing credentials from AIBE 17. These candidates were not required to pay any application fee for registration. It must be noted that this facility was open only for AIBE XVII candidates who had appeared at Rajkot centre.
The council has prescribed the syllabus for AIBE exam. The syllabus of AIBE XVIII (18) 2023-24 consists of 19 topics/subjects on Law. These subjects are common Law subjects of LLB (5-year LLB and 3-year LLB programmes). A total of 100 multiple choice type questions are asked from AIBE syllabus as mentioned below.

The offline-based AIBE exam had 100 objective-type questions. There is no negative marking in the exam. Also, as per the AIBE exam pattern released by the council, the AIBE is not an open-book exam. BCI released the AIBE 18 admit card 2023 in online mode on December 3, 2023. The admit card for candidates from Rajkot and Ahmedabad was issued on December 4. Candidates who applied for AIBE 18 could download hall ticket from the official website. The admit card of AIBE 18 is a mandatory document that every candidate needs to carry on the day of exam. No candidate will be allowed entry inside examination centre without the admit card. The AIBE 2023 admit card comprises important details like name of the candidate, exam centre, address of exam centre, date and time of examination etc.
The Bar Council of India released the AIBE 18 provisional answer key 2023 on December 12, 2023. Candidates who appeared for the exam have been given an online facility to challenge the provisional answer key of AIBE 18 from December 13 to 20, 2023. In case, candidates feel there is a discrepancy, they can challenge the provisional answer key by submitting supporting documents and explanations. After considering the objections raised by candidates, BCI will release the AIBE 18 final answer key 2023. Candidates can take help of the AIBE answer key 2023 to calculate their probable marks in the exam.

Starting from AIBE 18, BCI has revised the AIBE cutoff. The AIBE 18 cutoff has been increased from 40% to 45% for general and OBC category candidates. Similarly, the cutoff of AIBE 18 2023 for SC/ST candidates has been increased from 35% to 40%. The AIBE cutoff 2023 is the minimum marks candidates need to score to be deemed qualified. AIBE 18 is a qualifying exam, and candidates must clear the AIBE cutoff to practice as a lawyer. The category-wise AIBE XVIII (18) cutoff has been given below:

The AIBE 17 CoP is available for download now. Candidates can make corrections in their details like father's name, enrolment number etc till December 15, 2023. Candidates who will qualify the AIBE 18 exam will be eligible to get the AIBE Certificate of Practice or CoP. Candidates can apply for the AIBE CoP through the official website of Bar Council of India. After applying for AIBE Certificate of Practice, candidates will be sent a piece of information through post stating that their name is enrolled in the Bar Council of India. Candidates can take that document to their State Bar Council and get their Certificate of Practice.

The BPP is typically required for those who do not have a formal educational qualification equivalent to 10+2.it has nothing to do with aibe exam because it conducted to assess basic level knowledge of law degree student and lay down minimum benchmark for entering into practice of law in addition to assessing candidate's analytical skills.
To take AIBE EXAM you need to do bachelor's degree in law either of five or three years course from a recognised university.if you done your graduation you can take admission in three years law course through direct entry or by giving law entrance exam like CLAT CUET ailet etc.
