MH CET 3-Year LLB 2026 Colleges with Lowest Cutoffs

MH CET 3-Year LLB 2026 Colleges with Lowest Cutoffs

Isha GargUpdated on 27 May 2026, 03:24 PM IST

Admission to MH CET 3-year LLB colleges is possible even at very low percentiles, as many institutes accept candidates with low MH CET scores in further MH LLB CAP rounds. The previous year's MH CET 3-year LLB cutoff data reflect how opening and closing percentiles vary widely across law institutions in Maharashtra. Many MH CET law colleges begin admission with high opening percentiles but close at very low cutoffs, making LLB admission through MH CET accessible to a wider range of students.

MH CET 3-Year LLB 2026 Colleges with Lowest Cutoffs

These MH CET 3-year LLB cutoff trends are visible across both Maharashtra State and Outside Maharashtra State categories. MS candidates benefit from category-wise reservations, while OMS candidates compete under the open category with limited seats. Despite this difference, both categories show a sharp drop in closing percentiles in many colleges. This indicates that many law colleges in Maharashtra offer admission even at low MH CET scores, especially outside major cities like Mumbai and Pune.

The Maharashtra State (MS) category includes candidates who hold a valid Maharashtra domicile. MS students benefit from the state’s reservation policies, with seats distributed across categories such as OPEN, OBC, ST, and SEBC. This category-wise distribution increases their overall chances of securing admission compared to OMS candidates. Many colleges, such as Adv BD Hambarde Mahavidyalaya and VN Patil Law College, Aurangabad, had opening percentiles in the 60 to 80 range but closed at below 1 percentile.

The MH CET 3-year LLB 2025 percentile data indicate that although these colleges begin with high opening percentiles, the closing percentiles eventually drop in further MH CET law counselling rounds. This decline is largely due to category-wise seat distribution across OPEN-EWS, OBC, ST, and SEBC, which creates more opportunities at lower scores. Overall, the data shows that MS candidates, especially from reserved categories, have strong chances of securing admission even with low MH CET scores, particularly in colleges outside major urban centres.

The Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) category includes candidates from across India who do not hold a Maharashtra domicile. All OMS candidates are treated as general or open category students in Maharashtra, regardless of their caste or category status in their home state. These candidates compete for a limited 15% quota in unaided colleges and usually a 10% quota in government-aided institutions. These students compete for a limited share of seats, making competition at top colleges highly competitive for OMS students compared to the MS category students.

The MH CET 3-year previous cutoff data shows that admission to the 3-year LLB course under the OMS male category is accessible even at low scores. At colleges like Narayanrao Chavan Law College, the opening percentile was 99.823, yet the closing percentile dropped to 0.446. This gap in opening and closing ranks indicates that top-ranking OMS candidates secure seats in urban colleges of Mumbai or Pune, leaving seats in other regions to be filled at much lower scores. Many colleges in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar closed between 2 and 10 percentiles, showing that admission remains accessible even with low MH CET 3-year scores.
