The State CET Cell has closed the MH CET Law 2026 round 3 choice filling for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. The MH CET Law 2026 CAP registrations for unregistered candidates closed on September 5, 2026. The CET Cell will release the MH CET Law 2026 alphabetical merit list and open the grievance window for new applications. Based on the grievances, the final merit list will be released. The MH CET Law 2026 round three seat allotment list for 5-year LLB will be released on September 18, 2026, and for 3-year LLB on September 19, 2026.

Candidates allotted a seat in the final round can only opt for the freeze. Those accepting their allotted seat must pay the Rs 1,000 seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted college. There are three rounds of MH CET Law counselling 2026, followed by an institute-level round. The MH CET Law CAP rounds include steps such as registration, document verification, choice filling for top MH CET Law colleges, and reporting to the college. The CET Cell declared the MH CET 3-year LLB 2026 results on May 27, 2026, and on June 16, 2026, for the MH CET 5-year LLB 2026.
MH CET Law CAP refers to the Centralised Admission Process carried out by the CET Cell, Maharashtra, for admissions into 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of participating colleges in Maharashtra. The CET Cell Maharashtra will conduct centralised counselling in online mode. The MH CET Law 2026 seat allotment will be done for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. The authorities will also publish the MH CET Law merit list for each MH CET Law CAP round. The CET Cell conducted the Maharashtra State Law Common Entrance Test in online mode across different centres in Maharashtra.

The CET cell does not prescribe any minimum qualifying marks for candidates to be eligible for LLB 3-year CAP round registration or LLB 5-year CAP round registration. However, candidates must have a non-zero score to be eligible to take part in the MH CET Law 2026 counselling and seat allotment.

The MH CET Law CAP rounds 2026 involve the following steps. The steps are common for both MH CET LLB 3 years CAP round 2026 and MH CET LLB 5 years CAP round 2026.
Registration: Candidates who desire to obtain seat allotment and have a valid score must register for the MH Law CET CAP round in online mode from the official website. The CAP registration fee is Rs. 200 in case of a category change from
Document Verification: Candidates are then required to upload the prescribed documents for e-verification by the authorities.
Alphabetical list: After scrutinising the documents and the appropriateness of the registration, the authorities will release the alphabetical list of candidates.
Grievances and Corrections: Candidates will be allowed to raise objections and make corrections for mistakes in the alphabetical list.
Publication of merit list: After considering the objections and making corrections, the authorities will publish a merit list
Choice filling: Next, candidates will be required to fill in their college preferences in which they wish to seek admission.
Seat allotment: Finally, the candidates will be offered seat allocation after considering their ranks, preferences, and categories.
Candidates must note the following changes introduced for the academic year 2026-27 due to the ongoing process of law college approval.
1. Web Options Editable: Candidates can edit their submitted preference list during the web options process only till the deadline.
2. Auto Freeze Discontinued: Candidates will no longer be allotted their first-preference college will no longer be automatically frozen. They will be able to choose either the Freeze or the Betterment option.
3. Freeze Option: Those who choose the Freeze option are required to pay Rs 1,000 and report to the allotted college.
4. Betterment: Those who choose the Betterment option are required to pay Rs 1,000and will be eligible for subsequent rounds. They must refill the MH CET Law 2026 web options for respective rounds.
Note: The MH CET Law 2026 round 3 will be the final round without any betterment option.
