SLAT Admit Card Date:18 Dec' 25 - 28 Dec' 25
The SLAT 2026 Slot 1 exam was held on December 20, 2025. Based on student feedback, the SLAT exam difficulty level was overall easy to moderate. The SLAT exam pattern 2026 consists of 60 questions to be answered in 60 minutes, with no negative marking for wrong answers. Sections like logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and reading comprehension, focused on simple and direct questions that did not require prior legal knowledge. The General Knowledge section tested recent current affairs from the past few months. The analytical reasoning section was moderate as it involved math problems like interest and speed calculations.
Sections | Difficulty level | Remarks |
Easy | Mostly direct questions from blood relations, number series, and simple puzzles. No complex syllogisms were observed.
Easy | Focused on principle-fact questions. Core topics included Torts (negligence), Contracts, and Criminal Law basics. No prior legal knowledge was required.
Analytical reasoning | Moderate | Considered the most time-consuming section. Involved elementary math like Profit & Loss, SI/CI, Time-Speed-Distance, and Data Interpretation. |
Reading comprehension | Easy | Contained short passages (approx. 200-300 words). Questions were direct; themes included AI, environmental issues, and socio-legal topics. |
GK | Easy | Primarily current affairs from the last 6-8 months. Included international summits (G20/BRICS), sports awards, and a few static GK questions. |
Overall | Easy to moderate |
Here are the key highlights showing the latest trends of the test:
Time management: Candidates had one minute per question; the GK and reading comprehension sections were quick. However, analytical reasoning took more time due to calculative questions.
No negative marking: No penalty for wrong answers encouraged students to attempt all 60 questions.
Shift in GK pattern: GK focused on recent current affairs (last 6-8 months), including international summits and sports awards, with minimal static or legal GK.
Legal section simplification: Legal reasoning tested the application of given principles to facts, avoiding complex legal maxims and making it accessible for all candidates.
