Osmania University, Hyderabad, will conduct TS LAWCET 2027 on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) tentatively in May 2027. The exam will be held in online, computer-based mode, across Telangana. Registrations for TS LAWCET 2027 are expected to commence in February 2027. The entrance exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. There is no negative marking in the examination.
Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) is a state-level law entrance exam, accepted by 39 participating colleges. These colleges offer approximately 6,480 seats in 3-year LLB and 2,880 in 5-year LLB programme. The examination is conducted once every year and admissions are offered according to the candidate's rank obtained in TS LAWCET exam.

Note: OBC candidates claiming relaxation to 42% aggregate marks must produce a valid OBC certificate issued by the competent authority during the admission process.
The application process for TS LAWCET 2027 will commence tentatively from February 2027 in online mode. The process includes paying fees, registration, filling in personal and academic details, and uploading documents. Candidates are advised to check the TS LAWCET 2027 eligibility criteria before applying.
Candidates can register for the TS LAWCET 2027 by following the steps listed below:
Go the official website: lawcet.tgche.ac.in.
Pay the TS LAWCET 2027 application fee online using net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
Note down the payment reference ID generated after transaction.
Go back to the homepage and click on the "Fill Application Form" link.
Enter the payment reference ID, mobile number and date of birth to access the application form.
Fill in all the required personal, educational and communication fields.
Upload recent passport-size photograph and scanned signature according as per the specified dimensions.
Verify all the details, submit the application form and download the confirmation page.

Candidates should have the following documents while filling the application form:
Class 10 (SSC) marks memo or equivalent certificate
Class 12 (Intermediate) or qualifying examination marks memo/hall ticket number
A recent passport-size photograph
A scanned signature on plain white paper
Aadhaar card details
Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC), if claiming a fee relaxation or reservation
PwD certificate, if applicable
Mobile number and email ID
Net banking, debit card, or credit card details to pay the fee
A TS LAWCET 2027 application correction window will open after the registration process closes. During this period, candidates can edit details in their application form. Only details such as, qualifying examination details, year of passing, medium of instruction, annual parental income, address, gender, Aadhaar details, reservation details, and email ID can be edited.
However, details such as the candidate's name, parents' names, date of birth, qualifying examination hall ticket number, photograph, and signature cannot be edited online. Any correction in these fields can be made only by submitting a request to the Convener along with valid supporting documents. Other details cannot be modified after the application is submitted.
The TS LAWCET 2027 syllabus is divided into three sections: general knowledge and mental ability, current affairs, and aptitude for the study of law. The syllabus is the same for both the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. However, the difficulty level differs. Questions in the 3-year LLB paper are of graduation level, while those in the 5-year LLB paper are of 10+2 level.

The exam will have the following TS LAWCET 2027 exam pattern:

The TS LAWCET 2027 admit card will be released one week before the examination at - lawcet.tgche.ac.in. Only candidates who complete the TS LAWCET 2027 application process will be able to download their hall tickets. Candidates will be required to log in to the candidate portal using their registration number, qualifying examination hall ticket number, and date of birth. The admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried to the exam centre along with a valid photo identity proof. TGCHE will release the hall ticket only in online mode and will not send hard copies by post.

Fill in login details: registration number, mobile number, and date of birth.
Click submit.

The TS LAWCET 2027 answer key will be released online at lawcet.tgche.ac.in, soon after the examination. TGCHE will first publish the provisional answer key along with question paper and response sheets. It will allow candidates to calculate their scores and raise objections in case of any incorrect answers. Once all objections are taken into consideration, the final TS LAWCET 2027 answer key will be published. This final answer key will be used for preparing the result.

The TS LAWCET 2027 result is expected to be declared in June 2027 in online mode. The result will be based on the final answer key. Candidates can log in using registration number, hall ticket number and date of birth to download the TS LAWCET rank card 2027. The TS LAWCET result will include the candidate's raw marks, merit rank and qualifying status. Candidates qualifying the exam will be eligible for TS LAWCET 2027 counselling.

If candidates score the equal marks in TS LAWCET 2027 exam, the authorities cannot give the same rank to them. To determine the merit rank, the following tie-breaking rules will be used by TGCHE:
Higher marks in Part C (aptitude for the study of law): The candidate who scores more marks in part C will be given a higher merit rank.
Higher marks in Part B (current affairs): If the tie still remains, then candidate with higher marks in part B will be ranked above.
Age of the candidate: If the tie is still unresolved, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.
Candidates who qualify the TS LAWCET 2027 exam will be eligible for the counselling process. The counselling will be conducted online by the TGCHE for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. The counselling involves registration, verification of certificate, web options entry, seat allotment, fee payment, and reporting to the allotted college.

The TS LAWCET 2027 counselling process will include the following stages:
Go to lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in and log in using the hall ticket number and TS LAWCET 2027 rank.
Pay the counselling processing fee online (General/OBC: Rs. 800 and SC/ST: Rs. 500).
Submit scanned copies of academic certificates and category proofs for online verification.
Attend the designated help centre physically if the candidate claims NCC, CAP, Sports, or PwD quotas.
The TGCHE will verify the uploaded documents and publish a verified list of candidates.
If the name is in the eligibility list, log in to TS LAWCET web options. Select the preferred colleges and courses and rank them in order of priority.
Next, check the TS LAWCET 2027 seat allotment result published online. Allocation is based on the candidate’s rank, selected preferences, reservations and availability of seats.
If allotted a seat, download the allotment letter and pay the tuition fee online to secure the seat.
Finally, visit the allotted institute with original documents, allotment letter, and fee receipt to get final admission.
