The complete AP LAWCET 2026 notification has been published on the official website. As per the notification, the AP LAWCET 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 4 2026, as a computer-based test (CBT). The AP LAWCET application process 2026 has started on February 12, 2026. Candidates can fill out the application form for AP LAWCET 2026 without a late fee till March 12, 2026. The paper will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions across three sections: general knowledge and mental ability, current affairs, and aptitude for the study of law. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) 2026 is the entrance exam for students aspiring to enter the legal profession through 3-year and 5-year integrated LLB programmes. Managed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), this state-level examination evaluates critical thinking, legal aptitude, and general awareness.

SPMVV will conduct the AP LAWCET 2026 exam on May 4, 2026.
TheAP LAWCET 2026 application will start from February 12, 2026.
AP LAWCET 2026 exam will be conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE.
The APSCHE is expected to release the AP LAWCET 2026 application form in the fourth week of March 2026.
To apply for AP LAWCET 2026, candidates must meet the following AP LAWCET eligibility criteria:
For a 3-year LLB course:
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, BCom, or equivalent) from a university recognised by the UGC.
Candidates need to score at least 45% for the general (OC) category, 42% for the OBC (BC) category, and 40% for the SC/ST categories.
Students currently in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
For a 5-year integrated LLB course:
Applicants must have passed the Intermediate (class 12) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
The minimum requirement is 45% marks for general (OC), 42% for OBC (BC), and 40% for SC/ST categories.
There is no upper age limit to appear for the AP LAWCET exam as per the Bar Council of India guidelines.

Candidates need to keep the following documents ready before starting the AP LAWCET application process 2026:
Class 10 and 12 marksheets and graduation marksheet (for 3-year LLB).
Aadhaar card and a valid mobile number/email ID.
Caste certificate (for SC/ST/BC) and income certificate.
A scanned passport photo (< 30 KB) and signature (< 15 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
The application process is online-based and must be completed at the official AP LAWCET portal. Refer to the steps below to know the AP LAWCET 2026 registration process:
Visit the official AP LAWCET portal - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/lawcet.
Provide the qualifying exam hall ticket number, the candidate's name, DOB, and mobile number.
Complete the payment via net banking/credit/debit card.
Go to the "Know Your Payment Status" link to confirm the transaction was successful. Note down the payment reference ID.
Log in and enter details regarding the choice of regional exam centre, academic history, and category details.
Attach the scanned passport photo (<30KB) and signature (<15KB) in JPG format.
Submit and save this for certificate verification during counselling.
