Calcutta University will release the LLM entrance exam result date for 2026 on its official website soon. The CULET LLM 2026 exam was conducted on August 28, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam will be able to download their scorecards. The CULET PG 2026 merit list will be released based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. The merit list will be released in two parts. Part A candidates which is 50% of the total seats will be selected based on scores obtained in 5-year BA LLB program and the CULET LLM 2026 exam. The other half of the seats will be filled based solely on the CULET LLM 2026 result. There are a total of 187 seats offered by participating law colleges unde the Calcutta University.

Candidates who appeared for the CULET PG 2026 exam for LLM admissions will be able to download the results. In case two or more candidates have scored the same score, CU applies the tie-breaking rules.
Rule 1: Candidates who have fewer wrong answers will be given the higher preference.
Rule 2: If the tie still persists, then the candidate with a higher score in the BA LLB programme will get the preference.

The CULET PG 2026 counselling schedule will soon be published on the official website. Candidates who have scored the required marks will be able to participate in the Calcutta University LLM 2026 counselling. The university will release the merit list for each round of counselling. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be allotted a seat during the seat allotment process. The seat allotment process is divided into two parts: Part A (50% seats based on BA LLB marks and CULET LLM 2026 marks) and Part B (only CULET LLM 2026 marks).
