The All India Bar Examination is a tough exam. Trends suggest that more than half of the candidates fail in AIBE. There are no limits on the number of times a candidate can appear for the All India Bar Exam. As per the revised eligibility criteria, even final-year law students can appear for the bar exam from AIBE 19 onwards. In this article, let’s discuss whether you can appear in the next session of AIBE if you fail in the AIBE 19 result 2024 and see what the Bar Council of India (BCI) says in this matter. The rules about appearing/reappearing for AIBE vary for law graduates and final-year law students.

Candidates from the general or OBC category need 45% to clear the AIBE cut-off while candidates from SC/ST categories need 40%.

AIBE Eligibility Criteria: Educational Requirements and Number of Attempts

As per the eligibility criteria prescribed by BCI, law graduates who have completed a 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB from an institute recognized by BCI are eligible to appear for AIBE. There is no limit on the number of attempts in the bar exam. BCI has also removed the requirement of enrolling with a State Bar Council before appearing for AIBE.

So, a law graduate who has obtained his or her law degree can appear any number of times in AIBE till they finally clear the exam. This means, if a law graduate fails in AIBE 19, they can appear for AIBE 20 without any hassle.

AIBE Revised Eligibility Criteria for Final Year Law Students

As per the revised AIBE 19 eligibility criteria, final-year law students without any backlogs are eligible to appear for the bar exam.

The rules prescribed by BCI for final-year students are as follows:

  • Candidates who are currently in their final semester of their 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB can complete AIBE registration. However, they must not have any backlogs from their previous semesters.

  • Law graduates who have passed their degree but are awaiting their degree certificate can also register for AIBE.

Can You Appear in Next AIBE If You Fail?

As per the existing rules, if law graduates who have obtained their degree fail, they can reappear for the next session of AIBE without any problems.

If a final year law student fails in AIBE, he or she can also appear for the next AIBE provided that there are no backlogs in the semester exams. This means, that if final-year candidates fail to clear their semester exams, they will be eligible to appear for the next AIBE only if they have cleared the backlogs by the time AIBE 20 registration starts. Otherwise, they will have to wait till they clear their semester exams.

Hello dear candidate,

the previous year question papers and last ten years question paper for AIBE exam is given in the link given below:-

I hope you find this helpful.

Thank you.

Whether or not signing your full name instead of your signature on the AIBE 19 answer booklet's self-declaration form would result in disqualification is uncertain. It depends on the specific rules and regulations of the AIBE examination and how strictly they are enforced, you can also check the official website or contact the concerned authorities.

Hello,

If you forgot to mention the booklet code in your AIBE 2024 application, follow these steps:

  1. Check for Edit Option : Log in to the AIBE portal and verify if there is an option to edit or update your application details.
  2. Contact Helpdesk : Reach out to the AIBE helpline or email support to explain the issue and request assistance for correcting the booklet code.
  3. Documentation : Keep a copy of your application form and any communication for future reference.
  4. Stay Updated : Monitor the official AIBE website for any updates or instructions regarding this issue.

Act promptly to avoid complications.

Hope it helps !

If you forgot to mention your booklet set code and other details on your AIBE 2024 exam OMR sheet while filling the rest of the information correctly, your exam may not be evaluated properly, and you could potentially face a delay in your results or even have your exam invalidated; however, there might still be a chance to rectify the situation.

Since AIBE exam is OMR based paper and is checked by using a specialized scanner called an "OMR scanner" which reads the darkened bubbles on the sheet, interpreting them as answers, and then comparing them to the answer key to generate a score - essentially, the machine "reads" the marks made on the paper to determine the correct answers, all through a process called Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). If it doesn't recognise your booklet code there are chances that it could not process your answer on code basis.

Reach out to the Bar Council of India (BCI) as soon as possible through their official website or helpline number. Explain the situation clearly, mentioning that you filled in all the details correctly except for the booklet set code and other missing information.

If possible, try to attach a scanned copy of your OMR sheet where you can highlight the correctly filled details and the missing booklet set code.

Hope it is helpful to you!!!

Hi Anirudh,

Using a whitener in the AIBE 19 exam (All India Bar Examination) is generally not allowed, as per the examination guidelines. However, if you used it in just one question and the rest of your answer sheet complies with the rules, the likelihood of outright rejection may be lower, but it ultimately depends on the discretion of the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Wait for Official Notification, Check your result once it is released, If the BCI invalidates your paper, they will usually notify you.

In some cases, minor infractions like using a whitener in a single question may not lead to disqualification, provided the rest of the answer sheet adheres to the rules. However, the final decision rests with the BCI.

Stay calm and wait for the official result or response from the authorities. Mistakes happen, and the best approach is to address them responsibly.

Best Wishes!
