The National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU), accepts admission into its 5-year LLB programmes, BA LLB and BSc LLB through CLAT 2026. It is important to note that the admission process for the NRI category at NLIU Bhopal is not done through the centralised CLAT 2026 counselling process. Instead, candidates have to directly apply at the NLIU Bhopal website. The university offers a total of 27 seats for the NRI candidates, 18 for BA LLB and 9 for BSc LLB.
Here, the total fee for NLIU Bhopal for NRI/NRI-sponsored students is $10,000 + Rs. 1,49,800. The NRI/NRI sponsored & foreign national tuition fee charge is equivalent to the conversion of INR or, on an actual basis, whichever is higher. Candidates have to pay the fee within the stipulated time; if the NRI seats are left vacant, they will be converted into general category seats and filled accordingly.

Candidates applying for the BSc LLB programme should have passed (10+2) in the science stream, or its equivalent.
Candidates have to visit the official website of NLIU Bhopal, complete the Interest form (A), and deposit Rs. 1 Lakh ($1,103). The deadline to submit this application form is 10:30 AM on May 15, 2026.
The amount of Rs. 1 Lakh is non-refundable and will be adjusted in the total fee when students take admission. However, if any candidate fails to get admission into NLU Bhopal (or) is moved to their higher preference by the CLAT 2026, they will be refunded Rs. 99,000. To claim the refund, these students must fill out Form B (bank details) along with Form - A. Finally, the merit list will be prepared based on the CLAT 2026 rank and will be published on the NLIU Bhopal website. Only those students who have submitted the form and fee will be included in the list.

Government-issued valid ID such as Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID card, etc.
Copy of the fund transfer certificate/receipt in the bank account of NLIU, Bhopal
Affidavit by Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) for admission under the NRI Sponsored Category Seats
Copy of Certificate of being an NRI or a certificate of the relationship with the Sponsor, as per NRI/NRI Sponsored rules (www.nliu.ac.in)
Letter from Embassy (NRI Certificate of the Candidate/Parents on Embassy Letterhead)
Letter from Embassy (PIO/OCI Certificate of the Sponsor on Embassy Letterhead)
