Through the Calcutta University Law Entrance Exam, candidates will get admitted to BA LLB programme in Calcutta University and its affiliated law colleges. Calcutta University BA LLB entrance exam is conducted once a year in offline mode, and the CULET 2025 syllabus comprises four subjects - General English, General Awareness/Current Affairs, General Mathematics and Reasoning (Verbal & Non-verbal).

Calcutta University BA LLB Eligibility Criteria 2025

Calcutta University prescribes the Calcutta University BA LLB 2025 eligibility criteria in its admission notification. Candidates must meet the CU BA LLB eligibility criteria to secure Calcutta University BA LLB admission 2025.

  • Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a board recognised by the University of Calcutta

  • Minimum Passing Marks: Candidates from the General category must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the best four subjects. (excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE). SC/ST category candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the best four subjects. (excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE).

  • Age: No age limit

  • Other requirements: Candidates who passed 10+2 from the Board other than WBCHSE, ISC, CBSE, Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya and NIOS must obtain an “equivalence certificate” from the office of the Registrar, ( equivalence Section) University of Calcutta, 87/1, College Street, Kolkata-700073 through a written application in plain paper with a relevant photocopy of 10+2 mark sheet. The certificate will be required at the time of admission.
