The Calcutta University published a notification mentioning the CULET 2025 application schedule, exam pattern, seat matrix of participaring colleges, etc. Earlier, in a meeting of 12 principals of participating law colleges, a decision was taken to conduct the Calcutta University Law Entrance Test 2025 in online mode through CBT mode, The Times of India has reported that the Dean of the Law, Sandip Mandal, said ‘We are trying our best to start admissions at the earliest.
The last date to fill out the CULET 2025 application form was September 25, 2025. Since things are already two months behind schedule due to the BCI approval delay, the external agency will be asked to accelerate the admission process by Calcutta University. Calcutta University will conduct CULET 2025 tentatively first week of October 2025 in CBT mode.

Candidates planning to appear for CULET 2025 will have to meet the Calcutta University BA LLB 2025 eligibility criteria. The detailed eligibility criteria to obtain Calcutta University BA LLB admission 2025 are given below:
Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent from the board recognized by the University of Calcutta
General category candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the best four subjects. (excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE). SC/ST category candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the best four subjects. (excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE).
Candidates from boards other than WBCHSE, ISC, CBSE, Rabindra Mukto Vidyalaya and NIOS must obtain “Equivalence Certificate” from the office of the Registrar, (Equivalence Section) University of Calcutta, 87/1, College Street, Kolkata-700073 by a written application in plain paper with a relevant photocopy of a 10+2 Mark Sheet. Certificate will be required at the time of admission.
No age limit is prescribed.
The authorities opened the CU BA LLB 2025 application form on September 15, 2025. Interested candidates could fill out the CU BA LLB application form 2025 on the official website. Students must fill out the form and submit the application form by paying the CU BA LLB 2025 application fee to complete the application process.
