For students preparing for AILET 2026, reviewing the AILET 2025 question paper is highly useful. AILET 2026 will continue with three sections: English language, current affairs & general knowledge, and logical reasoning. There will be 150 multiple-choice questions in total for 150 marks. The marking scheme remains +1 for correct answers and -0.25 for wrong answers. No marks are awarded for unattempted questions.
The major change in the AILET exam pattern from 2025 to 2026 is the increase in exam duration. The AILET 2025 exam was 90 minutes long, but the AILET 2026 exam extends this to 120 minutes. This additional time offers candidates more opportunity to carefully attempt all questions without rushing. The AILET 2026 paper continues the trend since 2024 of focusing on these three sections only, removing earlier sections like Legal Aptitude and Mathematics that were part of the pattern before 2024.
The difficulty of AILET 2025 varied by section. AILET English and logical reasoning were easy to moderate. Current affairs & general knowledge were moderately challenging. Overall AILET 2025 exam difficulty was moderate, demanding focus and good preparation. The exam combined passage-based questions and analytical reasoning. The detailed question paper and official answer key help students understand question types, sectional weightage, and time management. This insight is necessary in building a targeted strategy for AILET 2026 preparation.
