The State CET Cell is planning to conduct the MH CET Law exam 2027 twice a year for both 3- and 5-year LLB courses. As per a report by The Free Press Journal, the CET cell will conduct all Common Entrance Tests (CETs) twice a year, a decision expected to help 14 lakh candidates improve their scores. Maharashtra Technical and Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil confirmed the update while speaking to reporters after an event at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University in Lonere, Raigad district.

New Exam System to Benefit 14 Lakh Students

The change in exam follows last year’s decision to conduct MH CET for engineering, medical and management exams twice a year.  As per Patil, more than 14 lakh students appearing for the state's entrance examinations are expected to benefit from the move. The MH CET exam will be conducted twice for all 19 CETs, including 3- and 5-year LLB exams. The additional attempt will help candidates improve their scores.

Patil further said, “The CET Cell is preparing a standard operating procedure for conducting the examinations twice a year. The framework is expected to be finalised within the next 15 days.” The new framework of MH CET exams twice a year will cover examination centres, the conduct of tests, rules and regulations, and the system for evaluating answer papers.
