The Rajasthan judiciary notification 2026 for the Civil Judge exam is yet to be released by the Rajasthan High Court. The RJS 2026 notification is expected between late 2026 and March 2027. The one-year legal practice requirement will apply to judicial service notifications issued from April 1, 2027. Therefore, an RJS recruitment notification issued before March 31, 2027 would fall under the transition period.

Candidates must meet the following requirements for the rajasthan civil judge exam 2026:
Candidates must have an LLB Professional degree from a recognised university established by law in India.
Final-year or final-semester LLB students can apply, subject to obtaining the required qualification before the RJS mains exam.
Candidates must have knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script, Rajasthani dialects and the social customs of Rajasthan.
The age limit for the RJS civil judge exam is 21 to 40 years, with applicable age relaxation for eligible categories.
The RJS exam pattern 2026 has three stages: preliminary, mains and interview round. The prelims is an objective screening examination for 100 marks. The mains is descriptive for 300 marks, while the interview carries 35 marks. Prelims marks are not counted towards the final selection.

General candidates need 35% in each Law paper and 40% aggregate to qualify for the interview. For SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen candidates, the requirement is 30% in each Law paper and 35% aggregate. Around three times the category-wise vacancies are shortlisted and invited for the Rajasthan judiciary Interview round.
The Rajasthan civil judge interview carries 35 marks. The panel assesses a candidate's suitability for judicial service through general knowledge questions, current affairs, law application, Rajasthani dialects and social customs. The final merit is based on the combined marks of the mains and interview. Candidates need a minimum aggregate of 35% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates and 40% for all other categories.
