Running Out of Time in CLAT 2026 Mocks? Don’t worry — it happens to even the best aspirants! Time management is the biggest make-or-break factor in the CLAT 2026 Exam. But what if you could train your brain to balance speed and accuracy — section by section in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 Exam? Many aspirants lose valuable marks because they don’t allocate their 120 minutes effectively across sections. Top performers take 40–60 full-length mock tests before the actual exam, according to the CLAT 2026 Study Plan. These consistent attempts help build exam stamina and improve adaptability.

Why Time Management Is the Biggest Challenge in CLAT Mocks

  • Every Second Matters: The CLAT 2026 exam gives you 120 questions in 120 minutes, leaving just one minute per question — including reading and reasoning time.

  • Multiple Skills Tested At Once: You must balance reading comprehension, logical analysis, and legal reasoning — all within tight time limits.

  • Common Mistake: Many CLAT 2026 aspirants waste time re-reading long RC passages or overthinking logical puzzles, leading to incomplete sections.

  • Not A Knowledge Issue: Most students know the concepts — they just can’t pace themselves effectively under pressure.

  • The Real Challenge: Managing CLAT 2026 sectional timing smartly so that no area eats into another’s time.

  • Toppers’ Secret: Those who master time management early during mocks consistently score higher and secure top NLU ranks.

Time Traps to Avoid During Your CLAT 2026 Mock Tests

  • Spending Too Long On One Tough Question: Many students get stuck trying to solve a single passage or puzzle instead of moving on.

  • Reading Passages Multiple Times: Re-reading comprehension or legal reasoning passages and English Vocabulary Questions eats up precious minutes without improving accuracy.

  • Frequent Section Switching: Jumping between sections breaks concentration and wastes transition time.

  • Overanalysing Answer Options: Doubting your first instinct often leads to confusion and lost time.

  • Lack Of Pre-Decided Time Goals: Without clear time limits for each section, aspirants tend to overcommit to their stronger areas.

  • No Real-Time Monitoring: Not using a stopwatch or timer during mocks means you never learn how fast (or slow) you actually are.

  • Result: These “invisible time leaks” add up — causing panic, rushed guesses, and unfinished questions in the final minutes.

  • Overattempting or Underattempting: Attempting too many questions without precision decreases points, while being too careful results in easy marks on the table.

  • Skipping Time Tracking: Without monitoring time each segment, students spend too much time on Reading Comprehension or Logical Reasoning, leaving less time for General Knowledge and Legal Reasoning in the CLAT exam.

  • Not reviewing the Mock exam: Many students take the exam and then proceed without verifying their answers, resulting in the same blunders.

  • Ignoring Weak Areas: Avoiding difficult areas in mock tests gives students a false sense of confidence, which negatively impacts their overall performance.

Hello,

In CLAT , the 9-digit admit card number is not the same as the roll number you have to write on the OMR sheet. The OMR sheet has only 7 blocks because the CLAT roll number is shorter.

You should check your admit card again and look for the roll number printed near your name and exam details. Fill only that roll number in the OMR sheet. Do not write the 9-digit admit card number.

If you still cannot find the roll number, you can ask the exam invigilator on the exam day.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

To check your CLAT exam hall ticket, go to the official website, log in with your registration or application number and password (or other login details), and the admit card will be displayed on the screen. You should then download and print at least two copies of the admit card for the exam and counselling process.

I hope it will clear your query!!
