SLAT Merit List 2026 (OUT) - College-wise Merit List

The first merit lists for SLS Pune and SLS Noida for undergraduate law programs (BA LLB and BBA LLB) is released on February 12, 2026. This follows the release of the SLS Nagpur merit list on February 09, 2026. SLS Hyderabad will publish its first merit list on February 16, 2026. Candidates can access the merit lists directly through the respective official SLS campuses websites. The university declared the SLAT 2026 exam result on January 15, 2026 on its official website. Each SLS publishes the SLAT 2026 merit list separately. Candidates whose names will appear in the SLAT merit list 2026 will be required to complete the admission formalities such as document verification and payment of fees, to confirm their admission. The SLAT 2026 merit list will be prepared based on the candidate's consolidated score in SLAT 2026 and the Personal Interaction round. The SLAT 2026 counselling schedule is published separately by each participating Symbiosis Law School on the official website.

Candidates will be called for the PI round only for those Symbiosis Law Schools for which they paid the programme registration fee during the SLAT application 2026 process. In the preparation of the SLAT 2026 merit list, the SLAT score carries 70% weightage and the PI round carries 30% weightage. The Written Ability Test (WAT) has been removed from the SLAT selection process. Symbiosis International Deemed University conducted the SLAT 2026 in two phases. Through the Symbiosis Law Admission Test, candidates will be admitted to 5-year LLB programmes of the Symbiosis Law Schools.

SLAT 2026 Merit List Evaluation Criteria

The SLAT selection process is a two-stage activity to admit candidates into the five-year integrated law programmes at the participating SLS. Candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in the Symbiosis Law Admission Test. Such candidates are required to attend an online Personal Interaction (PI) as part of the SLAT counselling process. Given below is the process of how the SLAT 2026 merit list is prepared:

• The first step is to appear in SLAT which is held in online mode.

• After the declaration of the SLAT 2026 result, each of the participating SLS will prepare an SLS PI shortlist.

• The candidate then has to participate in an online personal interaction (PI) for which they have to book slots and also upload the required documents.

• Candidate’s performance in the test and PI is assessed and a cumulative score is arrived at.

• Each of the two activities - the SLAT exam and PI carries a different weight in the selection process.

• SLAT scores are scaled to 70 marks and assigned a weight of 70%.

• PI is for 30 marks and is assigned 30% weightage.

The PI is conducted in online mode after the candidate has booked a particular slot and uploaded the required documents. This step tests the candidate’s personality, suitability for a career in law, basic legal knowledge, and communication skills. PI carries a weightage of 30% in the SLAT selection process.

What After the SLAT Merit List 2026?

Candidates who find a place in the SLAT merit list 2026 will be required to pay admission fees and complete document verification as part of the admission process. Candidates must report to the admissions office at Symbiosis Law School and pay the semester fee. They are also required to carry the required documents in original and a set of photocopies. The original documents will be returned to them after verification. The classes will commence on the specified date after completion of the admission process.
