TS LAWCET 2026 Syllabus

The 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB LAWCET have a similar syllabus; a question paper, divided into 3 parts — general knowledge, mental ability, current affairs and aptitude to study law. The legal aptitude carries 50% weigthage (60 questions out of 120), and the remaining 60 questions will be divided equally between Part A and Part C. The difference lies in the difficulty level. The 5-year LLB question papers test elementary understanding at the Class 12th level, whereas the TS LAWCET 3-year LLB questions will have a graduate-level standard.

TS LAWCET Syllabus 2026: 5-year LLB & 3-year LLB

  • Part – A: General knowledge and mental ability (30 questions carrying 30 marks)

  • Part – B: Current affairs (30 questions carrying 30 marks)

  • Part – C: Aptitude for the study of Law (60 questions carrying 60 marks, including 10 comprehension-based questions)

  • Total number of questions - 120 (objective-type questions)

  • Duration - 90 minutes

  • Maximum marks - 120

The TS LAWCET 3-year LLB, attended by over 41000 students last year, will be held in two shifts, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to 02:00 pm. This will be followed by 5-year LLB and LLM entrance exams, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. The 5-year LLB entrance exam saw 11,695 students registering and 9,325 appearing last year. TG PGLCET (LLM) had 4,810 applicants last year, of which 4,166 appeared.
