AP LAWCET Counselling 2026 (Started): Phase 1 Seat Allotment (Released)
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has published the revised AP LAWCET 2026 seat allotment for Phase 1 on October 7, 2026. The authorities withdrew the initial seat allotment list due to a technical error. The AP LAWCET 2026 seat allotment is based on the candidate's AP LAWCET rank and college preferences selected during the web option window. The authorities opened the AP LAWCET 2027 web options on September 29, 2026. The last day to fill out the AP LAWCET 2026 web option was October 2, 2026. 34 law colleges are participating in the AP LAWCET 2026 counselling. The AP LAWCET 2026 counselling registration started on September 24, 2026, and closed on September 29, 2026. The authorities have released the AP LAWCET 2026 counselling schedule on its official website. The AP LAWCET 2026 counselling process includes registration, option filling, and seat allotment. Candidates who have scored above the qualifying marks in the AP LAWCET 2026 results are eligible to participate in the counselling.

How to Participate in AP LAWCET 2026 Counselling Process?
Candidates who obtain an AP LAWCET 2026 score above the minimum qualifying cut-off are eligible for ranking and participate in the AP LAWCET 2026 counselling process. Candidates have to first register online for the counselling by paying the counselling registration fee and uploading the documents for verification. Once the verified candidates' list is published, the candidates can then enter the AP LAWCET web options and obtain seat allotment.
Steps to Register for AP LAWCET 2026 Counselling
Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for AP LAWCET counselling 2026:
- Visit the official website - lawcet-sche.aptonline.in
- Click on the counselling registration link
- Login into account
- Pay the counselling registration fee, which is Rs 1000 for OC/BC candidates and Rs 500 for SC/ST candidates
- Upload the prescribed documents for online verification
- Click Submit to complete the AP LAWCET counselling registration 2026

AP LAWCET Qualifying Marks 2026
Candidates from the General and OBC categories will have to obtain the minimum AP LAWCET 2026 qualifying marks to be eligible to participate in the counselling process. There are no qualifying marks for SC/ST categories. The AP LAWCET qualifying marks are given in the table below.

AP LAWCET 2026 Counselling Process
The counselling process of AP LAWCET 2026 is divided into the following stages:
- APSCHE Counselling Notification: The AP LAWCET 2026 counselling notification is published in newspapers with the place and all details related to counselling. The official notification is released by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. The press release contains all the important details regarding the rank of candidates, the registration process, the documents required, and their verification. A list of helpline centres for reporting will also be mentioned in the official notification, which is to be adhered to by the candidate.
- Document Verification: Candidates need to verify their documents at the AP LAWCET 2026 counselling helpline centres to continue with the counselling process. The option to select the desired law course will be open after the documents are fully verified.
- Payment of AP LAWCET Counselling Fee & Exercising Web Options: At the time of document verification at the help centre, candidates should pay the required counselling fee in online mode on the official website. AP LAWCET 2026 counselling fees are non-refundable and are to be paid through Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking.
- Selection of course and preference of college: After all the documents have been verified, a login ID will be provided to students at their registered mobile number. Candidates must use their registration number, hall ticket number, and date of birth to create a password that can be used for website login. If the login is successful, an OTP will be sent. Candidates must exercise the options carefully after deciding on a college.
- Freezing and modifications of courses: Within a specified time, candidates can change their course as well as college option preference. Even after the specified allotted time, the AP LAWCET conducting body provides a final window to change the options.
- Final allotment of seats: APSCHE will release the final allotment list on its official website. Candidates should download the order and report via the self-reporting system. After that, they need to report at the designated college. Self-reporting and physical reporting at the college are mandatory steps to get a seat. Failing to do so at the mentioned time and venue can lead to cancellation of allotment, and no further claim will be entertained.

Candidates need to present the following documents at the time of counselling for AP LAWCET 2026:
Rank card of AP LAWCET 2026
Mark sheets of 10th, 12th and degree exams
Integrated caste certificate, if any
7 years' study or bona fide certificate for academic years
Residence certificate or Aadhaar card proof of candidate or parents in Andhra Pradesh for a span of 10 years
Income certificate that is issued after January 1 in the admission year
PH/NCC/CAP/sports and games certificates (if applicable)
Transfer Certificate (if applicable)
EWS Certificate (if applicable)

AP LAWCET 2026 Counselling - Important Points to Remember
Only candidates who have qualified in the AP LAWCET exam and have cleared the AP LAWCET cut -off marks will be eligible and invited for AP LAWCET 2026 counselling.
The authority will send invitations to shortlisted candidates to attend the counselling process via SMS or email. The authority will also notify the rank list on the official website.
The counselling process will be conducted online, where the eligible candidates will have to register themselves and also get their documents verified.
Before the start of AP LAWCET counselling, the list of helpline centres will be notified to the candidates.
If any candidate fails to complete the document verification process, they will be disqualified from further processes.
The registration fee for counselling of general category candidates is Rs. 1000, and Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates.
After choice filling, locking, and payment of the fee, the AP LAWCET 2026 seat allotment will be made considering the option entry and merit rank of the candidate.

Visit the AP LAWCET 2026 counselling portal: cap.apcfss.in
A login window will open
Then enter the login ID, roll number, password, and date of birth
Then a security code will be displayed on the screen
If a seat is allotted to the candidate, the seat allotment letter will be available for download.
The seat allotment letter will open in PDF format
Candidates can download and take a printout copy of the AP LAWCET seat allotment 2026 letter
