    CLAT NLUs Vacant Seats 2026: The National Law Universities conduct admissions through the CLAT entrance exam. The NLUs are undoubtedly among the most prestigious law institutions in India. The Common Law Admission Test is conducted once every year for admission to 26 NLUs and IIULER Goa in 5-year LLB and LLM courses. However, once the CLAT counselling process is over, the NLUs conduct their individual admission process for the CLAT 2026 NLU vacant seats left.     How to apply for vacant seats in NLU 2026?

    All the national law universities conduct their separate admission process. To get admission to the vacant seats in NLUs 2026, candidates will be required to visit the websites of these NLUs and apply for admission. Applicants will be required to fill in a Google form along with the required documents, like CLAT 2026 result, academic document copies, etc. The general admission process for vacant seats in NLUs is given below:

    • Visit the official website of the NLU you are interested in taking admission.

    • Go to the admissions section on the website.

    • Click on the Google Forms link for “admission to vacant seats for admission”.

    • Fill in all the details asked in the form carefully like CLAT rank, category, course preference etc.

    • Attach all the required documents.

    • Make the required fee payment and click on the submit button.

    • Check the merit list regularly on the official website of the NLU for your admission status.

    I have scored 72% in 12th boards but have rt in my additional subject. I'm aiming for Clat 2027. so is it necessary for me to give that exam or I can skip it?

    Yes, you should appear for the compartment/improvement exam in the subject where you got RT (Reappear in Theory).

    Even though your 72% overall marks are enough for Common Law Admission Test 2027 eligibility, clearing the RT is still very important because your Class 12 marksheet should officially show “PASS.”

    if i m pursuing ba from one college and after one or two year if i get another through the clat which will be a better college then if i want to switch the college then what will the procedure will be?

    Yes, you can switch from one college to another to a CLAT college through the entrance test.  However, it is important to note that you will have to start from year 1 rather than transferring directly into the second or third year. Some of the top CLAT participating colleges here.
