Calcutta University will close the Calcutta University BA LLB application form 2025 on September 25, 2025. The CULET 2025 is expected to be held in October 2025. Candidates will be admitted into the 5-year LLB programmes at Calcutta University through CULET 2025. This year, the university has reduced the seats for admission into its law department and its affiliated colleges from 2166 to 1914.

The primary major change for CULET 2025 is the shift to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, which was earlier conducted in offline mode. Calcutta University has also increased the registration fee from Rs 500 to Rs 800 for the general category and from Rs 250 to Rs 400 for the reserved categories. This year, the CULET 2025 exam will be conducted by an external agency to ensure fairness. Earlier, the Law Department of Calcutta University was the conducting body of CULET.
