The CET Cell follows a five-level tie-breaking process when two or more candidates secure the same score in the MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 exam. These are detailed in the table below.
Priority | Criterion | Detail of evaluation |
First preference | Higher Secondary (HSC) Marks | The candidate with a higher total percentage in the Class 12 or equivalent examination is placed higher. |
Second preference | First Language Marks (HSC) | If Class 12 marks are the same, the candidate with higher marks in their First Language at the HSC level gets a better rank. |
Third preference | Secondary School (SSC) Marks | If the tie remains, the student with a higher total percentage in Class 10 (SSC) moves up. |
Fourth preference | English Marks (SSC) | If they are still tied, the student who scored better in English in Class 10 gets the better rank. |
Fifth preference | Age Seniority | If all academic parameters are equal, the older candidate is given the higher merit rank. |
