The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has officially released the notification for the MH CET Law 2026 3-year LLB program. Online registration for the MH CET Law 2026 (3-year LLB) has begun on January 8, 2026. For the 2026 session, the admission cycle features an application window of only 15 days, closing on January 23, 2026. This state-level entrance exam serves as the mandatory gateway for admission into 3-year LLB programs across Government, Aided, and Unaided law colleges in Maharashtra.
This state-level entrance exam is the gateway to over 16,240 seats across approximately 150 participating MH CET Law colleges, including prestigious institutions like GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune. The MH CET Law 3-year LLB examination is scheduled to be conducted in a computer-based format from April 1 to April 2, 2026. For the MH CET Law 2026 session, candidates must have a mandatory APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) for registration. Candidates who do not possess this ID must generate it via DigiLocker before attempting the application.

The registration process must be completed through the official CET portal. To complete the MH CET Law 2026 registration, candidates must follow this procedure:
Generate the mandatory APAAR ID through DigiLocker
Visit the official CET Cell website and register with a valid email and mobile number
Log in to enter personal details and category status
Add academic details of SSC (10th), HSC (12th), and Graduation degree
Select three preferred cities for the examination centre
Attach a scanned passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size
Pay the non-refundable application fee online and print the confirmation page for future reference

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, revised the MH CET exam pattern starting in 2025. These changes remain in effect for the 2026 session of the MH CET Law.
Mode of examination: MH CET Law exam is conducted as an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) at various designated centres across Maharashtra.
Total questions: The paper now contains 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), a reduction from the previous 150 questions.
Maximum marks: The total marks are 120.
Exam duration: Candidates are allotted 120 minutes (2 hours) to complete the exam.
Negative marking: There is no negative marking.
