After the 3-year LLB MH CET seat allotment result, candidates must decide whether to accept the allotted seat or remain in the counselling process for a higher preferred college. The CET cell provides the following two options:
Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted college should select the freeze option. By doing so, they accept the allotted seat and exit from further MH CET Law 3-year LLb counselling rounds. After paying a Rs 1,000 seat acceptance fee for round 1, candidates must report to their allotted college campus. They must carry their original physical documents for verification and the admission process within the notified schedule.
Betterment: If candidates want to accept their current seat as a backup but wish for a higher preference college in the next CAP round, they can opt for the betterment option. Such candidates must still pay the Rs 1,000 seat acceptance fee to reserve their current round 1 seat. If the system allocates a higher-preferred college in a subsequent round, round 1 allotment is automatically cancelled. However, if no upgrade is available, the initial seat reservation remains valid.
Candidates who selected the freeze option must complete their admission process. The following are the steps required:
Report to the allotted college: Visit the college allotted with all the original documents for physical verification. The college will verify the original certificates with the documents uploaded during MH CET LLB CAP registration.
Pay college fees: After document verification, pay the college admission fee and complete all admission formalities.
Admission confirmation: Once the admission is confirmed, the college administration will update the student status on the CET Cell portal. An online receipt will be generated that completes the admission process.
The MH CET 3-year LLB round 1 cut-off 2026 is expected to follow similar trends as the previous year. Candidates can compare their percentile with the previous year's closing cut-offs to shortlist colleges realistically.
