The SLAT 2026 Slot 1 paper was easy to moderate with a balanced distribution of questions across sections. This suggests that SLAT 2026 Slot 2 is also likely to follow a similar pattern. Instead of over-preparing new topics, aspirants should prioritise accuracy, consistency, and time efficiency to maximise their score.
SLAT 2026 Logical Reasoning proved to be one of the most time-consuming sections. Questions were asked:
Direction tests
Seating arrangements
Coding–decoding
Blood relations
Number and alphabetical series
Notably, syllogisms were absent, indicating a shift towards traditional reasoning topics. For SLAT 2026 Slot 2, candidates should:
Strengthen core reasoning concepts
Practise timed questions to improve speed
Avoid getting stuck on lengthy arrangement problems
Legal Reasoning was easy to moderate and largely principle–fact-based. Questions revolved around:
Law of Torts
Contract Law
Constitutional Law
Procedural Law
There were no legal maxims, reducing the burden of memorisation. SLAT 2026 Slot 2 aspirants should focus on:
Understanding legal principles clearly
Practising application-based questions
Avoiding rote learning and focusing on logical interpretation
Analytical Reasoning questions were mainly from Time, Speed, and Distance, with a few tricky variations. While the section was not difficult, calculation errors were common. For SLAT 2026 Slot 2:
Revise formulas thoroughly
Read questions carefully before solving
Focus on accuracy rather than attempting too many questions
Reading Comprehension was one of the easiest and most scoring sections in Slot 1. Questions were passage-based and included:
Grammar
Vocabulary
Synonyms and antonyms
For SLAT 2026 Slot 2, aspirants should:
Practise active reading
Focus on understanding the passage context
Avoid rushing through questions to prevent silly mistakes
GK had a strong emphasis on current affairs, along with limited static GK from:
History
Culture
Environment
SLAT 2026 Slot 2 preparation should include:
Regular revision of the last 6–8 months’ current affairs
Selective preparation of static GK topics
Daily short revisions instead of last-minute cramming
Slot 1 highlighted that poor time management, especially in Logical Reasoning, affected overall performance. Common mistakes included:
Spending too much time on tough questions
Careless errors in numerical sections
For SLAT 2026 Slot 2, aspirants should:
Attempt easier questions first
Set a fixed time limit for each section
Take sectional mocks to develop a personalised strategy
SLAT 2026 Slot 2 is expected to be balanced and scoring, particularly in Reading Comprehension and GK. Candidates should analyse their SLAT 2026 Slot 1 performance, strengthen weak areas, and strategically maximise marks in high-return sections. A focused, calm, and data-driven approach will be the key to securing a strong score in SLAT 2026 Slot 2.
