The High Court for the State of Telangana specifies the Telangana 2026 Judiciary Syllabus for candidates appearing for the Civil Judge position. There are three steps of selection: screening test, written test, and viva-voce. The Telangana judicial service syllabus for the written test covers three main papers: Civil Laws, Criminal Laws, and English. Candidates aiming to appear for the exam must be aware of the Telangana Judicial Service Exam syllabus 2026 and exam pattern to be familiar with the exam. The TS Judiciary 2026 screening test includes 100 MCQ questions. Each paper under the written evaluation carries 100 questions of 1 mark each. Grammar and Vocabulary
Candidates are required to be well-versed in the Telugu language. They will be required to translate texts from English to Telugu and vice versa. Candidates will also be asked to write essays based on legal subjects only.
All qualified candidates must appear for the viva voce. Any candidate who does not appear for the same will be disqualified from the process. Telangana Judicial Service syllabus for viva voce includes questions that assess the following skills of the candidate.

Candidates must be aware of the TS Judiciary exam pattern and the syllabus to know the number of questions, marking scheme, and exam duration.

Candidates must pass the first step of the TS Judiciary 2026 exam, which is the screening test. The minimum passing percentage is 40% for all categories of candidates. Those who are shortlisted from the screening test will be eligible to appear for the TS Judiciary 2026 written test. Open and EWS candidates require a minimum of 60% marks each in all papers. Candidates from the Backward Class and Economically Backward Class require a minimum of 55%, whereas SC and ST candidates need to secure at least 50% in all papers.
Qualified candidates will be eligible to appear for the viva voce and require at least 50% of the total marks. SC, ST, and PwD candidates require 40% to clear this step. The authorities will then create an aggregate score from the written test and viva voce.
