    CLAT Dress Code 2027 for Male and Female

    The CLAT 2027 is an offline exam conducted at designated exam centres in India. Candidates appearing for the exam must follow the CLAT 2027 dress code and code of conduct to avoid disqualification. Candidates are advised to wear simple, comfortable clothing with minimal pockets and no heavy metal. Outfits with large buttons, badges, or metallic embellishments should be avoided, as this might lead to unnecessary frisking. Candidates must avoid wearing digital watches or carrying any electronic gadgets.

    Candidates appearing for the exam must also carry the CLAT 2027 admit card to the exam hall. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct CLAT 2027 on December 6, 2026. CLAT scores are accepted at 26 NLUs, IIULER Goa, and more than 60 private law colleges in India.

    CLAT 2027 Dress Code for Male and Female

    The CLAT 2027 exam has a semi-formal dress code for both male and female candidates to ensure uniformity and maintain security at the examination centres. Candidates must follow the specified guidelines to avoid any hassle on the exam day. However, candidates are advised to follow the general CLAT 2027 dress code for the exam.

    What to wear on CLAT 2027 day?

    • T-shirts, shirts, kurtas, jeans, trousers, or semi-formal attire

    • Clothing with minimal or no pockets

    • Head coverings worn for religious or medical reasons

    • Slippers, sandals, or flat footwear

    What to avoid wearing on CLAT 2027 day?

    • Flashy, heavy, or elaborate clothing

    • Scarves, hats, caps, or similar accessories

    • Clothing with multiple pockets, metal buttons, or metallic embellishments

    • Shoes, high heels, or other heavy footwear

    • Jewellery such as bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, or similar accessories

    • Belts with metal buckles

    • Watches, smartwatches, fitness bands, or other electronic accessories

    Reporting to the CLAT 2027 Test Centre and Test Timings

    • Candidates will be allowed to enter the CLAT test centre premises from 1:00 PM onwards and must be seated in their allotted rooms by 1:30 PM.
    • Candidates will not be permitted to leave before 4:00 PM.
    • Entry to the examination hall will not be allowed after 2:15 PM.
    • The CLAT 2027 will be conducted for a duration of two hours, starting at 2:00 PM. For PwD/ SAP candidates, the duration will be 2 hours and 40 minutes, ending at 4:40 PM.

    CLAT 2027 Code of Conduct

    The CLAT 2027 admit card specifies the important exam day instructions. Every candidate is required to adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Candidates must bring their CLAT 2027 admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre.
    • It is advised to arrive at least one hour before the scheduled exam time.

    • Candidates must cooperate in the security check at the entry gate of the exam centre

    • Entry will not be permitted after 15 minutes from the start of the examination.

    • Candidates must sign their CLAT admit card in the presence of the invigilator.
    • Carrying restricted items such as electronic gadgets or other prohibited materials is strictly forbidden.
    • Leaving the examination hall is allowed only after the exam duration is over.
    • Any instance of unfair practice should be immediately reported to the invigilator to uphold the integrity of the CLAT examination.
    • If anyone is found writing the CLAT exam for someone else or having someone else write the CLAT exam on your behalf will be punishable and result in a serious offence.
    • Communicating with fellow candidates during the exam constitutes a violation of the CLAT 2027 code of conduct
