The MAH CET LLB admission process divides candidates into two categories: MS and OMS. Domicile students from Maharashtra fall under the MS category, in which 85% of seats in government and aided colleges are reserved. Candidates from other Indian states compete under the OMS or All India category for the remaining 10-15% of seats. Due to this MH CET LLB seat distribution, OMS candidates face higher competition and higher cutoff percentiles.
Several factors determine the final closing ranks for MAH CET 3 year LLB 2026:
Number of candidates: A higher number of registrations increases the competition for every available seat.
Difficulty level of MH CET LLB exam: If the entrance exam is exceptionally difficult, raw scores can drop, but percentile requirements for top colleges remain high.
Seat intake: Any increase or decrease in the government-approved intake of a college shifts the cutoff.
College preferences by students: Students consistently prioritise colleges in Mumbai and Pune. This regional demand keeps the cutoffs for these cities higher than for colleges in other districts.
