The Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra conducted the MH CET 5-year LLB 2025 exam on April 28, 2025. MH CET 3-year LLB 2025 was held on May 2 and May 3, 20225. Candidates will be admitted into 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of participating colleges in Maharashtra through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law. In this article, find out what is a good score MH CET 3 and 5-year LLB 2025 and the cut-off trends.
From this year onwards, the CET Cell has revised the MH CET law 2025 exam pattern reducing the total number of questions to 120. Due to this revision, the total marks in MH CET law 2025 has also been reduced to 120.
The CET Cell has redacted the number of questions from 150 to 120 while keeping the duration of 2 hours unchanged in both LLB CET 3 years and LLB CET 5 years. The revised pattern allows candidates more time to attempt the question paper. The detailed exam pattern is given below.
As can be seen, the MH CET law syllabus for 5-year LLB has an additional maths section which is not present for 3-year LLB.
Subject | No. of Questions | Marks Per Question | Total Marks |
Legal aptitude and legal reasoning | 24 | 1 | 24 |
General knowledge with current affairs | 32 | 1 | 32 |
Logical and analytical reasoning | 24 | 1 | 24 |
English language | 40 | 1 | 40 |
Total | 120 | 1 | 120 |
Subjects | No. of Questions | Marks Per Question | Total Marks |
Legal aptitude and legal reasoning | 32 | 1 | 32 |

Logical and analytical reasoning | 32 | 1 | 32 |
English language | 24 | 1 | 24 |
Mathematics aptitude | 8 | 1 | 8 |
Total | 120 | 1 | 120 |
The revised exam pattern is more student-friendly giving candidates more time to solve a lesser number of questions. An easier exam can lead to an increase in the expected MH CET law cut-offs and an increase in the good score in MH CET law 2025.
Past cut-off trends indicate that a good score in MH CET law 2025 is expected to be around 100 marks out of 150 which translates into a percentage score of around 66% marks. Obtaining 66% in an easier exam pattern may not be enough and candidates may have to obtain around 75% in the revised pattern
The change in the expected good score in LLB CET 2025 is expected to be on the lines of the Common Law Admission Test where the CLAT exam pattern was also revised from 150 questions to 120 questions.
The tables given below provide the expected good score in LLB CET 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB for different categories for some of the top law colleges in MH CET Law 2025 . The data is based on past trends observed in MH CET law 2025 cut-offs.
