The Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra conducted the MH CET 5-year LLB 2025 exam on April 28, 2025. MH CET 3-year LLB 2025 was held on May 2 and May 3, 20225. Candidates will be admitted into 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of participating colleges in Maharashtra through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law. From this year onwards, the CET Cell has revised the MH CET law 2025 exam pattern reducing the total number of questions to 120. Due to this revision, the total marks in MH CET law 2025 has also been reduced to 120.

Revised Pattern of MH CET Law 2025

The CET Cell has redacted the number of questions from 150 to 120 while keeping the duration of 2 hours unchanged in both LLB CET 3 years and LLB CET 5 years. The revised pattern allows candidates more time to attempt the question paper. The detailed exam pattern is given below.

As can be seen, the MH CET law syllabus for 5-year LLB has an additional maths section which is not present for 3-year LLB.

How the Revised Pattern Affects a Good Score in MH CET Law 2025?

The revised exam pattern is more student-friendly giving candidates more time to solve a lesser number of questions. An easier exam can lead to an increase in the expected MH CET law cut-offs and an increase in the good score in MH CET law 2025.

Past cut-off trends indicate that a good score in MH CET law 2025 is expected to be around 100 marks out of 150 which translates into a percentage score of around 66% marks. Obtaining 66% in an easier exam pattern may not be enough and candidates may have to obtain around 75% in the revised pattern

The change in the expected good score in LLB CET 2025 is expected to be on the lines of the Common Law Admission Test where the CLAT exam pattern was also revised from 150 questions to 120 questions.

Mumbai University has opened its application forms, under the Department of Law, for the two-year LLM program. The portable was made accessible for the applicants from the 3rd of August, 2024, and will be open till the 12th of August, 11:55 pm.

The applicants can fill out the form via their online portable, which is linked below for your convenience. The exam conducted by the Mumbai University for their LLM program is called the LLM CET exam, which will most probably be conducted by the end week of August 2024.

There will be around 50 multiple-choice questions from different areas of law such as constitutional law, family law, administrative law, human law, etc. The exact date of the exam will be conveyed to you either by email or via their website.

TS LAWCET 2025: The TS LAWCET 2025 application form for admission to 5-year LLB and 3-year LLE courses will tentatively be released in March 2025, at lawcet-tische.ac.in.
